Credit card PPI

I have a question about payement protection.
When I came to pay a couple of my wifes cards i noticed she was paying payement protection, the thing is shes had these cards for a number of years now and at the time these PPI's would have been sold to her she was not a British Citizen.
I wonder does anyone know if PPI is valid for a none british citizen.
I have tackled the 2 store card providers who have bounced me to the insurance companies that provide the service. However they did go very quiet and did some checking with their managers when I told them this which seems to indicate maybe this was not right.
The other thing is if I do fight this is it just the PPI payements I am likly to get back or is their a claim against the balance on the card due to presumable invalidating the conditions of the card. Does anyone have any experience of this.

Of course you won't.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
So when you say of course you wont why are there companies falling over themselves to help people that have creidt card debt that have PPI attached to it. Your not telling me they want the business for a slice of the PPI reclaim which is a samll percentage of the over all debt. Im not particularly looking for that but im very very annoyed that the banks are quick to sell PPI when its obvious when they speak to my wife she is not english they never ask if shes even a british citizen.0
