Hmmm, I usually buy my baked beans online (too heavy to carry) so I have a four pack in my favourites, never thought to check their individual prices! Will do this before I do my next online shop.0

either way its hardly a rip off. a tenner a tin would be, but 40 odd p, get out more.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -
I don't get why a multipack should be cheaper? It costs them more, surely, because as well as the cost of 4 tins, you have to add on the stupid plastic packaging they wrap it in.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Although my mental arithmetic is pretty good, I've taken to carrying a small calculator with me recently for the supermarket shop!0

If you use a shopping list, jot down against each item the price you last paid for the item. Compare this with the current price either singly, or as a multi buy.
This will take a little time and discipline, but could save you money.0 -
I have noticed all supermarket do the same thing. They count on people shopping in a hurry so they don't notice the prices or the lebelling is incorrect. I usually go to the 24 hrs Tesco late at night where I can shop at my own leisure and I check everything even milk. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0

If you shop at night I would definitely say check the offers especially on a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. This is when a lot of offers end and others start, the issue is sometimes it stops offers that are going to continue. They then restart a couple of hours later. Where I work we usually have three or four DTD payouts during this time each work.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550
