Hmmm, I usually buy my baked beans online (too heavy to carry) so I have a four pack in my favourites, never thought to check their individual prices! Will do this before I do my next online shop.

I don't get why a multipack should be cheaper? It costs them more, surely, because as well as the cost of 4 tins, you have to add on the stupid plastic packaging they wrap it in.

That's a pretty stupid comment on a money saving site. rolleyes.gif

Although my mental arithmetic is pretty good, I've taken to carrying a small calculator with me recently for the supermarket shop!

If you use a shopping list, jot down against each item the price you last paid for the item. Compare this with the current price either singly, or as a multi buy.

This will take a little time and discipline, but could save you money.

I have noticed all supermarket do the same thing. They count on people shopping in a hurry so they don't notice the prices or the lebelling is incorrect. I usually go to the 24 hrs Tesco late at night where I can shop at my own leisure and I check everything even milk.

If you shop at night I would definitely say check the offers especially on a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. This is when a lot of offers end and others start, the issue is sometimes it stops offers that are going to continue. They then restart a couple of hours later. Where I work we usually have three or four DTD payouts during this time each work.
