Suzuki Alto car tyre
Options
Hi there,
I bought a second hand Suzuki Alto and one of the tyres now need replacing .. all the four tyres are different make one of them is continental and the others are cheap brand tyres. Now I have to replace one of them and not sure if I should go for a premium make such as Goodyear or Yokohama or just buy a cheap brand one. Could someone please advice ..
thnx

I'd try and also make sure that the tread pattern is similar on each axle. For a Suzuki Alto, cheap ones would probably surfice, as it's hardly a performance car, although come winter, you could regret it I guess, lol.
Mid-range tyres are probably best, not too expensive, yet not stupidly cheap!0 -
any idea how the yokohama brand tyres are? I am getting one on blackcircles.com website for £30 thnx?0

In all honesty, unless you are planning on changing at least two tyres (and put the best two of the existing ones on the back), and preferably all four, I'd just buy another cheap one.
You'll gain nothing from having one decent tyre amongst cheap ones.0 -
What are the other tyres by the way? Some "cheap" brands are actually pretty good.
Yokohama are a respectable mid-range brand btw.0 -

In the first post you say they are a premium make, in the second you ask how they are?

sorry thats what the blacktyres website say .. i have never bought tyres and hence this post ...0 -
If it's got 4 mismatched tyres, then I would replace the lot with something along the lines of 4 new Kumho KH17's or Barum Brillantis.
Not premium brands but still good budget tyres.0 -
thnx all .. I think I will get the Yokohama A.Drive delivered at £35 from blackcircles.com website and will keep it as a stepney.0

What's the spare like?
Is it worth swapping that on with a new tyre if it has any tread on it?0
