Hello, which of these companies should I go for. I do about 3GB of downloads per month and Xbox gaming about 5 hours per week.
Plus Net seem the cheapest but are they any good?
Thanks for your help

Hi there i would recommend bt strongly, only because i have been with plus net and the contention ratio on there system slows your experience down. Which is a big no no for online gaming. Been with bt for 4 months now got unlimited broadband for £10 and free calls after 7pm and at weekends. Line rental is £13.90. Even though Bt works out a tad more expensive it is worth it.
. Whatever u do dont go with sky for broadband. They no.what they are doing for tv. But they haven't a clue wen it comes to broadband
Hope this helps.0 -
Hello, how did you get a good deal 10pm for unlimited BT? thanks for help0

I wouldnt mind knowing either as im looking for BB right now and as im on an exchange with no LLU services, cheap BB doesnt seem to exist. For unlimited BB with BT ive found it no cheaper than £28 per month with an additional £10 per month line rental. If I could find unlimited BB for £10 per month id bite their arm off!0 -
You will not get unlimited on a non-LLU service for anything near £10pm. Do you really need unlimited though?
If you're looking for cheaper than £28, then why focus on BT?-they're on of the most expensive providers around. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
are sky really that bad. i just managed to haggle the 17per month down to 10pm as long as i took out sky tv0

My mistake. I was quoting tedglen who mentioned £10 per month through BT when mr anonymous didnt mention who he was getting his BB from. I know BT are expensive, i spoke to them. I want unlimited because i can, i prefer not to look over my shoulder wondering how much ive used or got left. Plusnet's 60GB limit "may" be sufficient but having heard alot of bad reviews regarding traffic shaping and slow peak time speeds, im not sure i could put up with that. I guess i could sign up without a contract and leave if im not happy with the service or the download limit. As i mentioned, with no LLU exchange, there'd be little hope of cheap BB. Any suggestions of a provider who will offer me an unlimited dowload service for £15 per month macman?0

Unlimited on non LLU is a thing of the past now.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I'm in a non llu area and still get bt broadband unlimited for 10.00 per month plus 13.90 line rental. 18 month term bit its a cracking deal.
If anyone wants the package i can dig out my paperwork and give you the phone numberto get the deal as the lady gave me it coz i asked how to get back in touch if my friends and relatives wanted the deal.0
