Do I need to renew my passport now ??

Im going to Benidorm Wed 25th May for a few days and have noticed my 10 year passport expires November this year - some destinations require there to be more than 6 months left on the passport when you return to UK but cant seem to find if that applies in mainland Spain Anyone know if I need to renew before I travel ??

We're flying with Ryanair if that makes a difference (been stung before with them on unrelated matter so need a definitive answer before going to East Mids)

Entry Requirement - Passport validity You need a passport to enter Spain. There is no minimum passport validity requirement but your passport must be valid for the planned period of your stay.

You can renew when you are within a certain time of the expiry date and they add the time on to the 10 years validity of the new one. I can't remember the exact time limit but my current passport was issued in a January and doesn't expire till the October 10 years later i.e. it is valid for 10years and 9 months..

When you should apply You do not have to wait until your old passport expires to apply to renew it. If there is any time left on your old passport, IPS will add it to your new passport, up to maximum of nine months. You can renew your passport whenever you wish, but IPS cannot carry over more than nine months from your old passport to your new one.
