Hiya MSE Angels,
Me here. Today I managed to spend £96 at Tesco's including £20 on Iphone Bolt on, O2 haven't taken any bits off?, this morning they greeted me with the GOOD News that my Data allowance had cost wait for it £1! so I decided to switch the beloved off in order to avoid messages like that. I fear that as I was away O2 did play and even though I am in the UK the little swearwords are gonna hit me with data charges.:eek: My long awaited Code has not arrived from my technically competent Brother who forked out ££ for replacing my Laptop (darling precious) screen which he kindly did for my big 5-0 just gone (April 19 ). As my Laptop is my form of portable independence and life as I sally forth into the big wide world that is travel.
Feet look atrocious, must make appointment today, probably I am looking at appointments to transform ugly claws into at least doable sexy heelable feet, which can be used to entice the Lover variety of male round this qauters. (I seem to be very popular on a dating site). I keep on procrastinating, All it takes is 1) Make Appointment 2) ask friend to come along for moral support and distraction as they work their wonders on my sex weapons (heels that is). Must do. MSE egg me on!!! hold me accountable!!
Flat needs the 3 hours a day housework treatment, I need to be like Ma in habits not a clone, hair needs recolouring, (yes even men need Grecian 2000) and recutting, but once Feet, Flat and Finances are knocked into shape, plus put on a few dresses, then with comfy sexy heels to learn how to walk in, I am ready to roll and I can only think of my Mums advice as somehow making sense without thinking 'your'e right!!!!!!' blimey!!!' cos she ends up being proved right.
So back to NSD Land, maybe I try to pack away a couple in the Weekend (worst for shopping yeech)??? Best wishes to everyone.:A:A:beer::money::T
NB Tesco Shop doubled up-wait for it- as exercise, my bum is really noticing it and that is a sure sign Madamoiselle has been exercising her little self. Iphone is now refuelled and ready to roll on the at least Time Use monitoring front, and hopefully I nabbed a few bargains.
NNB I brought an Easter Egg!! OK some will think' silly cow' but the wise amongst you will recognise 'ping ping!!!:rotfl: I got a Kitkat Easter Egg containing amongst other things a Cup (ok china advert for Kitkat), 3 Kitkats and a tasty chocolate egg for £1.50 me Bargain Queen???:A#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

OOh Jinty, hope your mouth calms down soon. Mine still aches a bit, and I had my tooth out a month ago! My dentist wants the gums to calm down completely for 6 months before deciding what to do with the big gap I have. Mmmm, not sure if that is what you wanted to hear, sorry!
Spendy yesterday and today...had to get the liquid gold today as I was too kn*****ed yesterday, and the queue was mega-long at Mr T's last night.
As it was I went today...and I used my 5p of/litre...saving £2.50 on my 50 litres! :j.
Off to the Spring Gardening Show @ Malvern tomorrow, so will probably spend (looking for some more metal shelving like I got last year, good quality and very good price) ....always do!
Hopefully the weekend will be NSD, so hope to increase my total then. Have a great weeekend, happy NSD hunting!
Thanks Keiss,The mouth is calming down very gradually, and yes, after speaking to dentist the other day, I realise that this is a longer and more arduous process than I had anticipated! I have another 5 to get out so I will be planning ahead in terms of time off work and stocking up on painkillers!
Have a lovely time at the Garden Show, sounds a great day out!
Good morning to all!
Yes its HOLLIBAGS day! Yippee!!
Spoon, I wont be missing you all at all, cos I'm taking the laptop with my shiny new dongle!! Still need my daily fix of gossip, encouragement and general madness!
Have a lovely day everyone!:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Aargh, just about to post my reply when my computer shut down to do an update (despite me clicking postpone!!):mad::mad:
So to summarize: bad night, chasing mice, calming bouncy dog. Going to garden show later than planned.
Jinty - have good hols, hope mouth improves soon.
mm7 - hope your son is OK after his extractions. You may find you will need loads of towels on the pillows...to mop up any blood. (I did when I was a teenager and had 4 out all at once).
Spoony - thanks for your good wishes, yes I hope to have a great day....sun shining atm, though rain forecast for later..will pack the kagoul and brollie then! Taking my bright orange shopping trolley today, so I can take my much needed bottles of water and lunch and then carry home all my bargains.:D
Have a great Friday the 13th all!!!

As you can see there is lots of activity on this challenge at the moment and it's difficult sometimes to see how many NSDs you're all declaring on posts.
Could I ask you to highlight your number of NSDs in a colour and in bold so that I can see them easily when I whizz through the posts - red would be best but I don't really mind as long as I can see the numbers easily.
Some helpful suggestions and ideas to follow below from our sponsor and godmother, BigMummaF :ANO SPEND CHALLENGE.
1. Have a good, long think about what YOU want to include in your Spend & Excluded categories.
Some of us count everything from Direct Debits & school expenses, while others do not include things like essential Bills or emergency medical costs. If you plan what is or is not a Spend for you now, it will help you decide on a realistic Target.
2. It is NOT a race!
We all have very different demands on our time & bank balance, so please do not think you have to buy everything on 1st January & make it last till 31st December! A few of us have been following this Challenge for a long...long...LONG time so have developed plans & ploys to help us along the way
3. Most important of all, WE..DO..NOT..FAIL!
Sometimes we can't quite reach our Target, but that is fineEveryone knows how Life will try to trip us up, & that is when you will find us here to help you back on to your feet.
OK, an idea of how some of us do things.
1. What you will or will not include as a 'Spend'.
Some people are doing other Challenges too, & don't include the money spent on those for this one.
Some will try to shop for other bits on the days their direct debits etc go out of their bank accounts; they're the real hard core of the bunch& have been l-o-n-g time Nsders so don't panic
Some won't count those annoying last minute demands from school & collections as you can't plan for them in advance, likewise emergency prescriptions or visits to the vet
Personally speaking & providing I don't buy anything else, I don't count parking for hospital appointments.(..but then I usually do my shopping because I'm already out )
General thoughts on €bay sales is the buyer has paid P&P so no cost to you
2. It takes Time to reach mega-numbers!
The First suggestion is the first, because a bit of planning will work wonders on your road to your Target. Have a look at Solvent's (aka Spoon:rotfl:) first posts each month for a hefty list of other Threads that may be of help. For example, there's a few giving ideas for packed lunches so you can avoid standing in the queue at the bakers for 45mins of your lunch hour! A good incentive to tweak your healthy eating & the pounds you save will show in your bank balance AND your waistline
It helps to have various 'money pots' for the different costs that happen like Scouts, dinner money, yoga, window cleaner etc etc. The idea is you "spend" all that money in one hit by....let's say **putting the week's bus fares into the pretty coffee jar, Jo's tumble tots SIZE=2]Weds mornings[/SIZE in the cracked teapot & Ben's £1 coin for the gym locker SIZE=2]Friday lunch[/SIZE in the pocket of the changing bag, on Tuesdays every week when you've got some change from doing the food shop, so an already spendy day. At least four 'spending days' condensed into one(**mine's jam jars for windows, milkman & a bit towards the bills!)
3. Any day the money stays in your pocket is a bonus!
If you look at it as a day you beat the system, you can't help but :j so don't fret it--ENJOY! If nothing else in here, we do manage find something to make us smile
We have virtual outings to wonderful places that never cost us a bean :rotfl:New York, Edinburgh & Brighton have been a couple & Spoon usually pilots the Tardis but you can use your own transport; my personal favourite has been a sit-on lawn mower borrowed from the cricket clubThe only thing to be aware of is Hubert the donkey who is partial to anything remotely edible but is not yet house-trained
And Remember;
there are no silly questions, so don't be afraid to ask us anything!"If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride"
