NSD 5 for me yesterday!
Car insurance seems to be cheaper if I go comprehensive (cos of phasing out 3rd party) and also reduces if I add my Dad on, gonna try adding Mum as well next time I look
Definitely a spendy for me today, car back in for 2nd time lucky MOT tomorrow, don't have a helmet and need to ride bike to work (eek!) so reserved at Argos to pick up later.

Poota-probs are still keeping me to limited online hours, but I've been keeping note of my nsds [8 to yesterday] & wondering how you've all been doing. I do miss you guys& it doesn't help that some of my subscribed threads don't always come up on my e-mail inbox  Maybe you consider it more of a threat
but I shall always come looking for you so if you'd be so kind to leave a forwarding address....

Another NSD today as working from home and no transport to get me to any naughty shops. So number 8 declared if you please. Should be clocking up numbers 9,10 and 11 within the next few days. I'm getting so addicted to this now I hate having to spend because it ruins my clear run of NSDs. I've also decided that because I'm now officially at risk of redundancy and all OH and I want is to live the good life, that I'm going to try and take some hints and tips from the 'make do and mend' way of living. The first part was going through my wardrobe and realising that if I take care of all the shoes I have and have them reheeled/soled as required I should be able to get away with not buying another pair of shoes for the next 9 years- and do you know what? I'm damn well going to do it too!! Now looking for ways of reusing large yoghurt pots and cream cheese tubs. Hmmmm
Could you cut them up and use them to re-sole your shoes? :rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously, you could use them for starting off seeds, or potting on if youre thinking about being thrifty.Tough one - unless you put the money away on a Spend Day, in which case you could count that as a spend....
I don't count moving money between accounts as a spend, as I still own it. I don't even count taking money out of the bank as a spend as long as it stays in my purse, as I'm still no worse off than I was before I withdrew it. But as soon as I part with some (either cash or card), then it's a spend.
Best I'd be able to bring myself to do would be to count the first day I part with cash/use card as a spend day, and then 'allocate' the rest of my holiday budget for that purpose - and as long as I didn't spend more than I'd allocated, the rest of the time away could remain as NSDs.
Bit like I allocated funds on Tuesday (spend day) for getting liquid gold yesterday (when I'd be near a filling station), and I've seen done by others on here for haircuts, doggy haircuts etc
Yes, I do the "allocated funds" thing too, I just was interested in what your thoughts were! Our spending money is a tax rebate that OH got so it hasnt come out of savings.
I havent really decided how I'm going to handle NSD's while I'm away...........I reckon I should just go and enjoy myself, heheh!
I've been running about mad all day but got all the little chores done.
Finished off with a leg wax and a lovely pedicure at our local college. They have a proper salon staffed by newly qualified students. Its brand new and very luxe, as good as any salon I've been in. Any hoo, my treatments today were £19 in total which I thought was very MSE:money: Have booked in for a hot stones massage when I get back - cost £25, which is very good indeed! ( my little treat!)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
