Making mayhem in May with the NSD challenge

Hi MSE Lovelies
My finances today. I ran out of shampoo and so had to go to Tesco to replace it, in theory I could have got an hours walk and trotted off to Waitrose with my Trolley (pressie £30 john lewis trolley) and had a better selection to choose from, but instead I took myself 10 mins away to our local Tesco, where the Staff love me.
So believing I was being a good girl, I took the fewest number of items but as Tesco was doing a Clothes sale thought I had better, if able, to up the stakes on the Dresses Project. I got 3 dresses at 50% so instead of £18-20, hoping I would be able to pay for them. And got the shampoos which I got in bulk, Tesco was doing some at£1.68 for Herbal Essences (Herbs I doubt cos I know which brands are shampoos au naturalle) I also got some shower gel going at a £1 a pop so more stocking up. I also brought the Pantene take the build up off shampoo which strikes me as a good idea as this should not happen anyways IMHO.
After that the basket was an object lesson in Nabbing the Bargain. Unusually Tesco was having massive reductions and savvy shoppers were flocking round the staff like bees to honey pot. In fact the staff were reducing the reductions so all good bargain hunters got the additional reduction.
You will be glad to know I got the reduction and managed to pay for my shopping.
As a result I stocked up my freezer on some meaty goodies so I don't have to shop so often. My storecupboards are bulging also.
I could NOT live with bare cupboards and thin drab clothes.
[One of ] my favourite Staff was on the till so we had a little chat ( this is not being socially abnormal but thoroughly normal healthy etc)
I topped up fruit and veg. I am a diehard Riverford Customer and cannot recommend them too highly. Fruit and veg performance has increased to point of saving money and cutting waste. ( I get depressed and end up wasting perfectly good lemons etc not an untold of event).
So all in all a good if controlled shop which added up to this huge sum, £110 :eek:hence Saturday and Sunday are gonna be NSD!!
Free Novels x2 1x competition won Audiobook site.
Competitions going into!! Regular visits here so people can get to know me and I see jaw dropping money saving going on.
No pubs, no town centre, very heavy internet user, devoted to her glorious IPhone 3GS (pressie so own!), and wonderful repaired Laptop.
Wardrobe strategy is capsule, trendy but running million miles from the drab offerings for women of my age.
love and blessings to you all however you budget me like it or not:beer:#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Good morning folks!
Well I scraped #4 yesterday as doglet's hairdo was £2 under budget and I had already withdrawn the money for it!
I had the first of my teeth extracted and impressions done, so when I go back in three weeks to get the major extractions done they will be ready.
Getting hair done today and I will need to get a couple of sachets of cat food to keep him going as my order hasnt arrived yet. no NSD today.
Cant wait for my "do"
Have a lovely day all!:)

Declaring today as NSD no 5. :j
I plan on going to a quilt exhibition either today or tomorrow...I have set aside enough money to cover the entrance fee and some refreshments if I fancy some. Don't think there will be anything else for sale...but I will try to resist if there is, or I will use the nibbles money!!
Soggy here, though the heavy overnight rain has stopped at the moment. The garden is going to be so much happier after all this rain.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Declaring number 4 early today, in the hope that will make me control my spending
Off out to watch the last game of the season in the pub soon, but don't really want to drink & waste the rest of the day, so i've put the money for a couple of soft drinks to one side, & by declaring now it will ensure that i don't cave in & come home & do some useful jobs afterwards.... fingers crossed!!
As good as the rain has been for my garden, i am certainly missing the good drying weather, i seem to have wet washing everywhere!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Another spend day for me yesterday - as I said on another thread I decided to save £250 a year by getting all my hair cut off (thereby saving on regular colouring) and the initial haircut cost me £10. Today won't be though, so my total for May is 5 NSD so far.
