Making mayhem in May with the NSD challenge

Hi there
I'm new... and have an awful habit of food shopping on an almost DAILY basis! This harks back to my days as a smoker popping into Tesco for a pack of cigarettes every day and picking up supplies for dinner at the same time, which inevitably meant expensive extras too. I HAVE to break this habit, although I have got much better at buying for a few days at a time/using store cupboard supplies.
However theres always something I've forgotten, or rather something I use as an excuse to go into the supermarket. I have kind of replaced cigarettes with junk food, because I miss cigarettes every single day.... but if I can kick the cigarettes I can kick the junk/daily supermarkets too!
Anyway, can you please put me down for 5 no spend days please? We all have to start somewhere! Lets hope it can become a new addictionGC2012: Nov £130.52/£125

Yooohoooo! It's meeee! The Nargle has landed and is signing up for 12 NSDs for May, please. Pretty please. With whipped cream and cherries on the top.
On payday I drew a humungous great amount of cash out and put it into envelopes for different types of cash payments throughout the month (hairdresser, son's sports club, parking fees, Ringtons tea man, postage and sundries) - when I draw on those I will be able to class that day as a NSD because I had already got the cash out of my account to pay for these things. Sneaky, huh?
Like the idea of the MayDay celebration - hopefully we will have got over our hangovers from THAT wedding and will be fit to frolic around the maypole. We will of course have to elect and crown our May King and Queen, and everyone will have to wear lots of flowers and things may-like.One life - your life - live it!0 -
Welcome CompBunny - this thread is definitely addictive and far more fun than spending money!
For this month's target, I've agonised. On the one hand, I really didn't do very well last month and this month I have a birthday and holiday to pay for too. On the other hand... well, the same reasons really. :rotfl:
So, spoony, please can you put me down for 10 NSDs again this month. ThanksOfficial DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T

This is my first NSD challenge and I would like to go for 10 please! I hope it is doable, as May is my Birthday month, so will have to go for drinks with everyone:eek:
Lets go for it:j:j
Competetive, its my birthday this month too... oh and Tony Blair's too! Maybe that will make up for his wedding snub :rotfl:
Don't knock how lucky you are to have so many people who want to go for drinks with you!:T:T:T Although perhaps an expensive blessing!GC2012: Nov £130.52/£125

Hello all  & a huge welcome to all the newbies :hello:
Think i'm going for 15 this month please Spoon.
I go away on the 25th, so that i need to meet my target before that, i reckon i can do it, i've left 10 spend days for getting train tickets & any last minute bits i've forgotten which should be more than enough, & i should need minimal groceries as i have to get the freezer emptied before i go.... could make for some interesting combinations for dinner..... Igor, ideas please!! :rotfl::rotfl:February NSD challenge 5/150 -

Hya Spoon, great to see you back :j, and thanks to BDINI, SF and others for keeping the NSD threads running the past couple of months.:T:T
Been deliberating my NSD target for May, and have decided on 17 NSDs, one more than April...perhaps I can get more, but we'll see. Working a lot invigilating in the big town nearby, so more temptations to spend on my way home!:o Perhaps I'll just have to "forget" my purse those days...or at least my CCs!! :rotfl:
Have a great weekend everyone.
