I'm fully caught up Lois, although feel a little bereft as I have enjoyed reading your diary so much:T
As I said in an earlier post, a lot of your diary resonated with me as I am also lucky enough to be in my forever home, work in education and although much, much older now I have two (one of each:D) children. Oh, and I also have a pulley (aka kitchen - or Sheila - maid in my utility room). I inherited this from the previous owner however currently don't use however as a part needs to be replaced.
I am seriously impressed with your savings/building work/MOPs balancing talent;)
Looking forward to your next post:DFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Thanks natty. What a wonderful encouragement. Now I'll have to try to keep posting on here even when term starts again on Monday.
The good news is that today I have not spent any money today. The bad news is that that's because I didn't make time to go to the post office, which I should have done.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Oh Bum. It works on my machine.
Can you give me some actual numbers in some actual cells, and tell me exactly what formula you typed in, please?Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

My pleasure gally.

Can you get it show a 0 balance before 1/9/16 please
Easy!
Put 1/9/16 into cell Q1.
Now, your totals are in column G and your dates are in column B.
The formula in G3 currently says =C3+D3-F3
Replace this with =IF(B3>=$Q$1,0,C3+D3-F3)
Drag that down the whole of column G
Now it will automatically show as 0 on and after 1/9/16
What's that? Oh, you mean you don't just want Excel to show a 0 balance, you actually want to have a 0 balance? Hmm, that might be a bit more difficult. :cool:Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I think I need to post a list on here to commit myself to getting stuff done today. I have already frittered away the morning without achieving anything significant.
So, today I will
1) [STRIKE]Catch up on laundry[/STRIKE]
2) Tidy my desk
3) Make kids write thank you lettersSome progress made
4) Pack rucksack ready for work on Monday Done apart from finding my photocopy card
5) Make kids tidy downstairs Quite a lot of progress made but scope for more improvement
6) Research children's savings accounts and make decision
7) Spend some time playing with DD Done some of this but not as much as I intendedStarting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
