OK, here's my update for 7/7/11 - 6/8/11
Spending diary: Up to date
OPs: Mortgage: £0, House loan #1: £0, House loan #2: £31.25
Improvements = money paid to builder and for stuff connected with doing the house up: £336
Net money owed = (mortgage + loans + CC) - (all bank accounts): improved by £38.41
Total progress towards mortgage-free sorted-out house: £374.41 :j
New minichallenge: Get all building work and improvements finished and paid for by 6/10/11
OK, I'm reasonably pleased with that. At least all the entries are green or black with no red ones this time. I'm sticking my neck out and giving myself a deadline for getting these final bits of building & improvements sorted out. I want my shower fitted and my airing rack up on the ceiling, as well as the more mundane stuff to do with the electrics etc.

I've increased one of my loans today, so as to be ready to pay my building bills when they become due. The money's gone straight across into my savings account, and it can stay there until I actually have to pay the bill. A few days' interest may not be much, but it's better than nothing.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

The money that I transferred on Monday has disappeared into the ether. I sent it from my online banking to my Tesco bank savings account. But it changed its sort code when they upgraded their system a couple of months ago, and I had forgotten to update it on my list of payees on my current account. So I have just sent a big wodge of money to an invalid sort code. My current account bank say i will get it back, but maybe not for two weeks. But I may need to pay the big bill before then. Aargh. Now I need to arrange an OD to cover the gap between paying the bill and getting the money back from wherever it's disappeared to.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Yippee! The builder has been this afternoon. Still plenty more to do, but he has done the stuff that needed doing before the electrician could do his stuff, and he has put up my ceiling airer. :j I have put some bedding in to wash and will hang it up when it's done, and I have contacted the electrician who should be coming along reasonably soon.
Also, I have spent £19.62 and managed to get fruit & milk and stuff, and also everything I needed for lunch for 2 adults and 7 children, which I thought wasn't too bad. (That was me, my kids, my friend, her kids, and another friend's kids.)
ETA Ooh - another MSE milestone - I've passed 2500 thanks. Cheers to everyone who's thanked me. :beer:Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Phew. Thought I had a real problem with my ipod - it hasn't been working properly since DD borrowed it, which I was not happy about. However, she's now explained what happened. For reasons that remain obscure, she has put the volume limit to nearly inaudible, and locked it with a PIN - this is a 4 digit PIN and she has no idea at all what the number might be. So I had the choice between trying all possible numbers between 0000 and 9999 (no thanks) or doing a factory reset. I've done the reset, and it is now sitting there doing a sync and copying my entire iTunes library back across, which will take it ages. So, it's a pain and I'm not exactly thrilled with her, but at least I have been able to sort it out without spending any money on it, so that's a relief.
Yesterday was nearly an NSD until I decided to order some stuff online for the bathroom upgrade - but kept the spend to under £25, so could be worse. Hoping for a proper NSD today.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
