Am I very sad and geeky indeed to be waiting to update my spreadsheet as a treat for doing other stuff?

It's exactly the kind of thing I would do too Lois! Still, whether it's sad or not I don't know (especially as I'm not impartial) but I do know it's a very MSE way to get your treats!

Hope you've enjoyed your marking free weekend and you have a lovely last week of term! X

    Thanks everyone! :)

Lots to do today. The MFW part is that I need to check on movements of money I set up as one off transfers now I am not using my N@tionwide account any more since its 5% year ran out. Then I need to set the new movements up as SOs. Need to close the account too.

Have washed my hair this morning with nice shampoo DS gave me for mothers' day. We'll see if it makes my hair as dazzlingly shiny as it claims it will. Next time I'll try the stuff DD got for me. She chose it on the basis of the colour and smell, I think, without reading the bottle. It's called "Colour Protect". My hair's not coloured. Last year she gave me some "Frizz Ease" shampoo for my completely straight hair. :rotfl:

Weather grey and miserable here but at least it's not raining. :)

I am sooo tired and have so much to do this afternoon/evening (home stuff not work this time). Better start the way I intend to continue with a list of things to be thankful for, I think.

    1) Easter holidays within sight :D
    2) NMD this evening - just as well considering!
    3) NSD today :)
    4) Friend at work who was particularly encouraging to me today :T
    5) SF, Alchemilla, skinty, Ed, Wish, tattycath & Hbbb for posting  and Alchemilla, Ed, Hbbb, HDK, julliff, kirstypark, MWC, pink poppy, Radish, skinty, tattycath, Tilly, unhappy_shopper & Wish for thanking  How lovely to have so many people dropping in on my thread. :)

It's nice thanks. My hair looks clean and healthy, and feels all soft. "Dazzling shine" is perhaps an overstatement, though, but I'm not sure how much it's possible for any shampoo to get mouse-coloured hair to shine.

OK, now I am going to make a list. There is no way I will get everything done this evening if I don't make a list NOW.

ETA List made. I've split everything up into baby steps - put in load of washing and hang up load of washing are two separate items, for example, and I've included thins like cook supper and eat supper so that I get to eat without feeling I'm slacking! I've done 2 items already, but there are 20 to go, one of them is "find previous list and add any extra items if necessary", and my to do lists always seem to expand as I go along. I get to have a quick read on MFW every time I do a big item or two little ones. :)

Current progress 11/22 + parts of 3 others

    I like your thinking Lois.
I make lists...I then add from previous lists and end up with an even longer list :o
I also ashamed to say my 'to do' list for today is still as long as it was when I wrote it out this morning. :o
Right, going to make a start (albeit late!)

  • It's really funny reading about your way of doing lists. I LOVE lists but can honestly say I've NEVER finished one...I also write things on my 'to do' list that I've already done just so I can cross them out ;)

So do I. :rotfl:DD1 moans that I put things on that I've done so I can cross them out. She didn't seem to understand when I told her that it's motivating! :rotfl:

 ^ This ^ is me too! I wonder how many of us use each other's diaries as an MSE-friendly, not to mention diet-friendly way of rewarding ourselves for our endeavours! Lois, yours was my reward for washing up and setting up my next piece of work! Of course, as soon as I finish here I have to do the work, so you might find me lurking here for some time ...!

Thank you tattycath, nifty and Hbbb. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

I'm now at 9/23. Caught up on a diary or two (not that very much has been posted since last time I checked :o) and am off to do 3 more items:
    • Tidy kitchen
    • Cook supper
    • Eat supper
Once I've done those I'll be at 12/23, which is more than half way. :)
