    This is the way this company does business if i am not paid after a week i am off. When you go into business you must have a contract in place and if heinov was using the title Director and she was not this is wrong on her part. If she was a director she would have 1 share and the company would find it hard to close down.

    Why keep digging when the best thing is to look for another job and move on

    It can be very dangerous to give out bad advice. Thankfully in your case, it is so glaringly bad that everyone will ignore it anyway.

    Going back to the question of whether an ex-employer can monitor email going to a business address ... I would have thought it is quite common for an employer to want to pick up email addressed to a former employee, because it might be relevant to their business and need to be acted on. It would make sense for this to be covered by the contract of employment and perhaps the OP should start by going back to the contract and see what it says there?

    changing the company name DOES NOT mean its not the same company and can't be sued. Its still got the same company number.

    Now setting up a new one and letting the old one lapse could be what neil is talking about.

    Company directors DO NOT have to have shares. (and you can be a director without being a legal director)

    Just to clear up some misinformation posted above.

    I would expect the company to keep the email account open so that emails coming in can be sent to the right person and responded to. However they should not be allowed to pretend they are you responding. Nor bad mouth you in those emails (they can say you left without notice as thats true)
