Another new seller polluted by the "when to end an auction" myth.
You are aware that Man Utd are on the box in the semi final of the worlds second biggest football event?
I'm a rugby fan through and through, but I'll be watching that.
No, I've been selling since 2005 & over that time have found that my final price or whether something even sells does depend on when my auctions end.
I'm a personal seller not business and don't sell hard to find items, just unwanted stuff from around the house.
No I wasn't aware that Man U were playing, so hopefully that will be even better for me as the Football Widows will be on ebay.
Most of the things ending tonight will appeal to women.
As a buyer I love it when something I want ends at a silly time, like 1am as I'm often the only bidder.0 -

I also believe in the when to end an auction "myth". I was selling some festival tickets and looked at the completed auctions to see when they were getting the highest price.
In the case of the tickets, Friday, Saturday and Sunday on average got the lower prices. Tuesday was the best and Wednesday and Thursday were OK. A bank holiday day either did not sell or got the starting price.
For the time of the day, Morning didn't sell or sold for starting price. From about 2pm onwards the ending price increased to a peak at 5pm, reduced a little and another bigger peak about 8pm. After 11pm it went back to low price or starting price.
Now say its a myth.0
