Will Business Tarriff be Cheaper than Personal? I am being pestered by cold callers
Hi
I am a director of my own business, but have my phone under my personal contract not work. Just never got round to looking into a business one.
I have had a few cold calls from companies who claim I can get cheaper mobile tarriffs if I moved to them from Vodafone, because it will be a business phone and I am a Director.
This sounds dodgy to me, I dont believe companies sell things cheaper to business than domestic, usually everyone charges business more for things because they think we have more money.
So I wondered if anyone knows about this, can I get better deals on a business line, is it a catch. I never just sign up to people who call me, as I know nothing about them.
P.S. As a side issue, this non-Vodafone company knew who I was, my number and the amount I was paying, they got the info from Vodafone, isn't that in breach of privacy laws or something, I am unbelievably annoyed a 3rd party can get this info.
Thanks

Business tariff are quoted VAT-free,and billed accordingly. Beware of apples and pears comparisons.
Vodafone don't usually give out details to 3rd parties unless they are outsourcing their renewals to a call centre.
No real benefit to business unless you have a number of handsets where you can share minutes over them.0 -
As GD say, business acc are always quoted ex vat (as valid business can calm it back).
Also, the T&C's aren't the same for business acc's as they are for domestic acc.
So unless you are a vat registered business keep well away. . .0
