How can I get from Talk Talk to another broadband and telephone provider without having to shell out money for a new line.
I was with Tiscali which was a rented line but when Talk Talk took over that account they moved onto their own line which I was not made aware of and now when I have tried to move to Orange or Royal Mail they are asking me to pay £120 to put on BT line or their own equivalent.
Any idea's please I do not want to shell out that much money when I used to have a BT line that Tiscali rented.

You don't need a new line. IF yours has been LLU'd, you just need to go back to BT By requesting a 'return to donor'. This is free, but requires you to take a 12m line rental contract.
Once your line is back on the BT network, you can apply for broadband with the ISP of your choice (although my choice would not be Orange).
Direct LLU to LLU transfers are rarely possible. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks Macman, OK just to clarify, I just need to call BT or can I do a request a 'return to donor' to different line providers.
Also who would you recommend for joint Broadband and Telephone.0 -

No, you have to go back to BT, no other transfer is possible without charge.
Therefore you will have to have your line rental and calls with BT for 12m, but use a different ISP if you wish.
Go to https://www.samknows.com and do an exchange search for your LLU options-these will be the best on your exchange-there is no national 'best deal'.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
