but just maybe they can recognise when a punter brings in a genuine car?? ie, Not a smoker that needs thrashing to within a nano thing of it's life to prove it's a goodun??????????

well,, the mere fact that the MoT tester has [apparently] failed to follow the VOSA instructions regarding the testing of a vehicle?

This begs the question, of exactly what else is the tester ignoring just because a car 'looks right?'

And why should your car be exempt from the same rigorous test standards as mine, even though it looks prettier?

The question that springs to my [apparently warped, according to others on here] mind is....would the car have actually passed the emissions test if they were conducted properly?

Of course, once the vehicle has left the test station, there is no guarantee, evidence-wise, of it still being road worthy in all respects, so it's a little pointless.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

and a quick google, followed by a communication with the VOSA, leading to a knock on the door somewhere in Derbyshire...followed next year by a certain car getting its bells revved off come test time.....perhaps.....?
