Negative product review not published

I purchased a shower screen from a well known online-only bathroom retailer but the glass fell out of the frame after 4 months use, seriously damaging my bath. My builder examined the screen and concluded that the fixing that holds the glass onto the frame is inadequate and that the shower screen is a poor design, and this has been backed up by further independent second opinions.

I posted a review of the shower screen on the retailer's web site, detailing my issues with it and saying that I wouldn't recommend the product, but after more than 6 weeks it hadn't been published, so I reposted the review. After 2 weeks it still hadn't been published so I contacted the company by email over a week ago and have had nothing back from them.

Can I take this further with any trade body or consumer rights organisation?

And am I allowed or is it advsiable to post more details regarding the shower screen and e-tailer in this forum?

It's their website, they can publish or not publish whatever they like. Don't forget websites are a marketing tool used to promote the company not necessarily to give the truth!

If you feel the need, you could use the Praise, Vent & Warnings forum on this site.

What do you want from a trade body / consumer rights association? Are they refusing to refund the money? Or do you just want to force them to publish your post? If the latter, they probably won't be interested.

    True.

Well given that the site states that "100% of people would recommend this" then that's mis-representation of the product so surely the Advertising Standards Association or some other consumer rights bdy would be interested in that?
