Orange porting to Orange

I have just been advised by orange that I cannot port my orange mob number from orange to a new orange contract. Is there any way round this as orange seem to have the better deals.

Simplist way is too get a cheap/free sim (other network then Orange, Pref PAYG) and port your number to that network.

Use the sim for a few weeks and then port number back to Orange.

Hope that makes sense and helps.

The simple answer is yes Nikita... you can do this with any of the networks but the snag is that you need to go on PAYG for a few weeks (sometimes upto 8 weeks).

This is the only way to port your number back to the provider your with and then take advantage of great offers as well.

    Hope that helps.

Spikey - I am thinking of doing this (3-TMobile PAYG-3). Do you know what governs how long you need to stay with the PAYG before porting out?

    TIA

Could you put what deal they are offering you here and i might be able to help you find a deal better or as good as what they are offering you.
Most companies now offer to match any offer by the other ones but i need to know if you want a talk more or text more offer :)
