Having such a slow month this month. Done some over time at work the last few days though, so at least that will bump the total up and get me properly started once I've worked out how much extra I've earned next week as I've got some overtime for the weekend and monday as well!

£3 printed off in coupons on things which definitely will buy anyway, so reckon that counts towards total. Also have listed two items on ebay and four on etsy. Going to have a good scour of quidco and do my expenses whichshould net me a few pennies. Determined to find another £7 quid today.

Yay ... some more to add today :)

£50 from an ms company - Includes fee and full expenses as it was a day out visit which we did over the bank holidays so saved us having to find something else to do.

£35 petrol expenses from work. I'm currently going to college about once a week for my professional qualification. The college is in a big town centre where I'd go anyway for shopping, meeting friends etc so when they pay me petrol to go, it saves me having to pay for it :) I'm not adding the parking expense because I would usually find free parking, so no saving there!

Oh...and I sold some coupons to my mum for £2 yesterday!

I'm running through stores at the moment and not shopping so wouldn't be able to use the coupons before they expire over the next week or so.

Now to update my sig :)

    Hi everyone :hello:

Listed a few items on free ads yesterday so might get a phone call or two with any luck this week.

Don't think I'll be able to do a carboot on Sunday with my DS after all because the bouncy castle we hire out is out on Saturday and we're not collecting it back until late, so won't be able to load the car up with stuff ready for Sunday morning.

Don't know if we'll get another chance to do one before our hols so might have to put some of DS's stuff on free ads for him instead bless him.

    xx

    Afternoon

Well I've made a little bit of progress.

I've got £2.85 from a sale on Am*zon and another £2.85 from eb*y, both after taking off postage and fees.
And I've finally got a £5 bag of 5ps to pay in (I hate 5ps - collecting 20ps now, much better!).
So my new total is £17.69. Slow progress I know but all money I wouldn't have had if I hadn't made the effort to sell/save so must be good.

I was quite getting into ebay and have a couple of things being watched but have had to stop listing while they check me out via my bank account. Hope this is legit  - I think it is as they already seem to have my bank details which I must have put in a while ago. Anyway I need to wait a couple of days to be checked out before I can carry on.

Hope everybody is having a good week.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
  • Sold a DVD on eBay. After fees, I have a whopping 69p to add.

Slightly overestimated postage on the big item I sold a couple of days ago, so another 94p to add from that.

Total to add today: £1.63 :)
R.I.P. Bart. The best cat there ever was.

As a newbie to this challenge, I've listed 2 thing on fleabay and 1 has a bid and 20 watches and 1 has 1 watcher, can't beleive it, didn't think I'd get anywhere, I'm trying to clear the spare room so doing a bit at a time.

and as the emphasis on this challenge is generating cash it's also making me question my spending more, and am pleased to say I'm spending a bit less, so feel a bir more confident I might get nearer the target than I thought I would.
