Corrr, welldone you! What was it you sold, if I may be so nosey?? (Did you have some really smelly shoes?!?)
I wish all my 107 items would sell for that much!!! :rotfl:
I have been reading about the market for Really Smelly Shoes, and find it *most* amusing!
Although... I have a feeling that the demand is probably for smelly "girly" shoes, not smelly old trainers that have been worn to the point of having holes in them, then being relegated as "allotment" shoes until they are grubby and totally decrepit! :rotfl:
But to answer your question, let's just say it was kind of a [grown-up] boy's toy, something you'd find on the workbench. DH got all excited when I told him I was looking for stuff to sell on eBay, as he has been bugging me for ages to get off my butt and sell some of the detritus that is up in the attic. He was most helpful in helping me write the listing too, and this morning he boxed it up for me, ready to take to the post office.
Seriously, Monkeynut, do you really have 107 items on eBay at the moment? Now that is impressive!R.I.P. Bart. The best cat there ever was. :sad:0 -
I do. Must admit though that the first 50 or so were relisted from the last few weeks, and actually some of them right now are little more than a brief title and 'to edit' in the description!!
:o
I wanted to get everything listed before free listing weekend finished, and trying to get listings not to finish too late into the night - have 2 huge suitcases of clothes to get rid of, and was running out of time, so am spending this evening going through the not really done ones and editing them and doing pics! So I cheated at the weekend really.
And as per usual afterwards I am thinking I hope lots don't sell or I am going to go insane with all the P&P!! :eek:Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Actually thinking about it, maybe I should go on and change some to 5 and 10 day listing instead just to stagger the endings slightly for the sake of my sanity.
I wonder if you can do that on an active auction. Maybe if it's got no bids?!? Will have a look...Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

I sold a big item on ebay on sun and the buyer paid cash on collection today so saved on Paypal fees, and ended up with £107.26 after eBay fees :j. Very happy with that, as I only paid £65 for it 2 months ago! It just shows what a good write-up can do to the final price! :money:
That takes me to £149.72/150 - so not far off! I've been doing quite a few surveys lately, and am determined to declutter my house as I am in desperate need of space, so hoping to have a bit more by the end of the month.
I think I'll aim for the full £10 a day next month - it seemed impossible when I joined last month , but it's amazing how quickly it all adds up if you put a little effort in!0 -
