Ceramic Hobs - any good or to be avoided?

Can't use large oven in cooker because door doesn't shut properly so food just doesn't cook :exclamati Going to buy new one - got to be electric cos no gas near cooker point - looked at ceramic hobs but not sure about it :confused: - are they are they ok or waste of time? Anyone else got/had one?

Hi,
Ive been told that touch control hobs are not as great as it seems...apparantly if any grease or food works its way underneath (hob not sealed in properly) then the touch controls will not work!!
