    I've been Money Tipped!
I had a Philips cordless iron for years until Ds1 dropped it!!! Then of course I fond they've discontinued it - I absolutely loved it - I always snag the cord on shirts as i go and its a real pain when you get it caught in the board or under the legs. Never really had a problem with putting it down on the docking station, as you have to do that to move the clothes around anyway?

    Why are they useless?

    what was the issue?/disadvantage?
Personally I found it made ironing much slower because you had to keep returning the iron to the base to keep it hot. Obviously with a corded iron, you put the iron down every now and then, but I found that a cordless one needed longer 'rests' to maintain the proper temperature.

Being old to enough to remember flat irons, the trick was to have 2, one on the Rayburn heating back up and one in use.
    Move along, nothing to see.
