I've come off my contact with my mobile network provider and my phone is currently locked. Is there any sort of blackberry curve 8520 unlock calculator /software I can download and use to unlock my phone? Thanks in advance.

there are people on fleabay who will unlock a blackberry for a quid. it's a code-based unlock. you give them your IMEI, and by email they give you the unlock code and instructions. i've used the same seller several times to unlock a blackberry on O2 and several blackberries that were on vodafone.

There are free BB unlock codes available - I found one a while back with the help of google.
You enter your IMEI number into an online form (they give instructions on how to get it), and you get a code emailed back to unlock the phone.
