Whats the average time to first viewing?

Just wondered how long everyone waited from putting their house and having their first viewing?

    Hello,

Well I had the Estate Agenst round in the afternoon for the valuation, and then had my first viewing the next morning, before it had even gone on the market.
This was because they already had some one on their books looking for a property like mine.

Its been on about 2 weeks now and had about 5 viewings and one offer.

All three houses we've sold had viewers within the first day or two. The first (and the last) were viewed literally the day after going on the market by customers on the agents database who were looking for houses just like ours. Both were sold to those same first viewers.

We've been on the market for a month, and had one viewing after 2 weeks that led to a couple of offers.

How many have you sold since 2008? i.e. how many in the current market?

Hi Poppy, basically the offers were well under the asking price, and at this stage (1 month into selling) we are not that desperate for a sale.
It's a nice wee house in a nice wee area, and similar one across the road has sold this month for what we are asking (and unlike ours, it has not been re-roofed, re-rendered & done up inside), based on that we're hoping for 10K more than that went for, and we were offered 5k less than what it went for, so no sale at the mo.
We'll re-assess the situation in a few months, but as mentioned above we are in no mad rush to sell.

We haven't had our photos done yet and have viewings arranged - now need to separate the home vs sales transaction thing going on in my head :o
  • Went on market, phonecalls for viewings by lunchtime

Now, one week in, 2 viewings done, another booked and a second viewing planned by one of the early visitors

It depends how aggressivley priced you are. Those above who get viewings quickly are obviously priced to sell.
I went on last June and it took a month for the first viewing, I changed agents in october (and dropped price at same time) and had one within 4 days. depends how many people are on your agents lists as well.
