Not happy with Plusnet

Options
I joined plusnet on 11 Aug. 2010 (broadband extra), first thing they charged twice for the wireless router postage. they were quick at refunding the over payment, but out of the 4 wireless routers i was sent 4 of these were faulty (yes thats right - ALL routers were faulty) so now i dont even have a plusnet router, i go myself a belkin. at forst i was told it was my wirless pci card, which was strange as it worked fine with my previous provider, but i changee this anyway and still the routers were not working.
normally though a month my usage is between 20 to 30 GB. the other day i got an email to day i was near my limit and when i checked it showed 52% p2p which i never use. they told me their system says i used it so i used it and that to test i should stop my router for 24 hours, but as i run an online business this is a non starter, but now they want me to gop to one of these amny free software sites to download a bandwidth monitor software, which i wont as i use my computer for business and 9/10 of downloads from therse sites contain trojans or viruses.
so it looks like plusnet are now making things up to try and get another £5 from me as they have had me on a reduced fee for the last 7 months due to many problems they have caused.

Just a thought, if you're using a Belkin wireless modem router, what wireless encryption have you enabled? I hope you've not left it unsecured allowing neighbours to use your connection for free?

You can also check the router 'attached devices' and perhaps see if any other computers are connected to the modem router.

There are a no. of monitors recommended on here which are not spyware.
If you are using a residential service for running a business then don't complain too much as you are technically in breach of contract anyway.

it is residential, but the account is in my business name along with the email address i set up with plusnet, they also provide VAT receipts for me so these can go through my business accounts after i requested these when i signed up.

I have copies of all the tickets etc about this and all the problems i have had, so plusnet were at the beginning aware i was running a home business.
If you look at statistics i dare say that about 4 out of 5 home internet users will be running some sort of online business using residential broadband
