Some workplaces block sending from web based email servers to prevent spamming. You should talk to your works network administrator to see if this is the case0

Probably to do with your outgoing mail server - most ISP's won't allow you to connect to their SMTP server from an IP that isn't in their range - it's to prevent spam relay. That's why it works at home and not at work.
What you would have to do is create another email profile to use at work - exactly the same as the other, but change the SMTP server to one provided by your work's ISP - or just use gmail0 -

Its my own laptop, and my own dongle, has nothing in common with work other than I am here at workIf youcan lie down at night knowing in your heart that you just made someone’s day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day!!0 -

You probably connect to their network, most laptops will make use of a wireless network before a dongle. Make sure that you are using the dongle rather than the wireless network conection. You may not realise which "network" you are connecting to0

Just to clarify, your dongle (assuming O2, Orange etc) is presumably a different isp than your home broadband?
If so davbs advice is spot on.If youcan lie down at night knowing in your heart that you just made someone’s day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day!!0 -
It's probably easier to use a "web based" email when you're out an about.
Does Madasafish have a web email page to check your emails?
That won't care how you are connecting, just that you've got the correct username and password.Laters

It looks like Vodafone may have changed a few things recently (closed down older services), and there is a new Vodafone 360 service which you have to sign up for to send emails. Not entirely sure how it works, but I assume you set up an account and get a username/password etc, which will allow you to use the 360 SMTP server with authentication to send out emails - or just use gmail0
