best way to pay for holiday to Thailand

Lucky you! Pound is so weak nowadays.
Maya Bay is very nice (but full of people again). We booked another half day hour (250THB without lunch) from Phiphi to Maya Bay again the next day. Apart from that don't think you missed much on Phi phi.
It is less developed and a very small community. In theory, it should provide a better chance to experience the local customs and traditions. But too many tourists spoil it. Being popular (due to the Beach), our 3 star hotel on phi phi actually cost twice of 5 star hotel at Karon. There are a lot of diving schools though on phi phi. But we didn't have enough time to take PADI course (3 days to qualify) to dive in Similian Island or Krabi, which are said to be nice.
Agree. Despite overcrowding, Thailand still offers good value for a foreign holiday. (1/2 price of Barbados, 1/4 price of Hawaii).0 -

Some relative bargains to be found there. Our apartment was on the beach. £40 a night in low season. Girlfriend was sitting on the verandah when she noticed some of the locals gathering on the beach. Hundreds of baby turtles were making their way to the water. Some were going the wrong way towards the street. Locals were retrieving them and pointing them in the right direction. We joined in. Have lots of photos and video of the event.
Doesn't have to be expensive.0
