Worried dog not eating

Hi my dog is not eating, he has not eaten anything today. He hasn't eaten his breakfast and dinner. We tried to tempt him with some of our dinner, but he didn't want that either. We have never known him to turn food down. He has been out for his walks today and has been running around like normal.

He went to the kennels on friday and we picked him up yesterday and he seemed ok, he ate his dinner last night. He has been to this kennels before.

He was sick on my dh, it was water that he brought up. We are really worried about him.

My dh said it was a bit of both. It wasn't frothy.

Ring the vet, have a chat, see if they think they need to see him now, if not, get him booked to go tomorrow.

We didn't supply any food. The kennel is suppose to give him the food that he has at home. My dh was the one that handed him over, whilst i stayed with out baby. He says that he didn't remind them of what food our dog has. He has done a poo today and his stomach is soft, also his gums are pink at the bottom, they look pinky black at the top

In that case I suspect he has colic. My dogs get it all the time and I give them milk of magnesia (5ml) which sorts out their problem, however I would not take my diagnosis as gospel as I am not a vet.

Is he drinking ok? I wouldn't be over concerned about mine not eating unless she goes without food for a couple of days and seems otherwise off colour. She has the odd day when she just can't be bothered - the rest of the time she eats like there's no tomorrow.
It could be something as simple as the kennel overfeeding him, and him just not being hungry. If you're worried, give your vet a ring in the morning for advice, but if he's not getting dehydrated and otherwise seems ok in himself I wouldn't fret too much at the moment. One day without food isn't going to hurt him.
(Mine goes off her food when she gets indigestion - more frequent as she gets older, unfortunately.)

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I have 3 dogs two in one house and 1 in another, the two together aren't eating much at the moment but I think it might be the change in weather they will happily eat what we eat given the chance.

The other one is wolfing it down like no tomorrow but has had a poorly belly today when we've not changed anything in her diet.

It might just be a weather change thats doing it

    I hope he's better soon

Dogs who cannot keep down food or water can sometimes have an obstruction, is he the sort of dog that eats things he shouldn't?

If in any doubt at all call the Vet, hope he's ok...
