You can't add him to your 01 plate car though.0

He can only legally drive I think for 1 year after arriving, after that he will not be insured for your car and if stopped by police they can impound the car.0

sorry where did you get this information from?? Cyprus is part of the EU so he should be free to drive with his Cypriot license for as long as he likes :huh:0 -
The answer is until he is 70, if I am reading Direct.Gov correctly

Yes, you're correct, if he plans to stay he can exchange it for a full UK one.0 -
I just checked and it's 3 years for EEC residents in UK, then they have to get a UK licence. But they can only exchange within 12 months. Otherwise they would have to sit a driving test, or go home and come back.0

I'd say direct.gov is very badly written, and should say whichever is the shorter period0
