When I bother to answer the phone nowadays,if I hear an obviously Asian/American voice I use " this call has been transferred to the Metropolitan Police Serious Fraud Office and is being traced...." - results in termination every time:)0

Just received a call from a guy with an indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft Global Support (or something like that), I strung him along for a bit agreeing with everything he said, after 10 minutes I asked whether he enjoyed scamming people, to which he replied 'I don't like your tone ma'am, I shall report you and you will be in big trouble'. I then said I don't use Windows anyway, I have an Mac!!! I hate these people with a vengence!0

And they wonder why we distrust Asian call centres?0

Thankfully I haven't been bothered by these scammers, but if you're interested in complaining to their UK number provider or Ofcom and need to know who provided the number, it is apparently Magrathea Telecommunications (according to ukphoneinfo.com, who say they own the 02030 515 number block). Their contact details can be found here - I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post them directly so I posted a link instead. If anyone does decide to complain - good luck!0

I had this bunch of jokers ring me up a while back. When they said I had a problem with my PC, I asked them "Which one? Because I've got 14..." and they replied "the one closest to you at the moment".

I suppose Magrathea Communications themselves could be a useful starting point to complain with cc to relevant telecoms persons at Ofcom.
I'm sure that the scammers just requested this as a standard London Voip number and if Magrathea are made aware of the scam being perpetrated on it they may be prepared to close down the number.
Of course I'm sure the scammers will just get themselves another UK VOIP number if and when that happens.
I note that since I wasted 25 minutes of the time of these scammers on their last call including letting them give me the PIN number to allow me to use the LogMeIn remote access portal (which I did not actually use but instead reported to the remote PC access company in the States) before I was then very rude to them about their criminal activities that they have not bothered calling me again.
I have actually been away from home a lot for 4 months due to a sick relative and one thing that strikes me is that when you get home again after such a long break you are overwhelmed with calls from all the latest scammers for a week or two (who have presumably been calling my number repeatedly for months when I wasn't home). Having then spoken to them all and told them exactly where to put their service and also reported them all to the TPS and the ICO everything then tends to go blissfully quiet for a few weeks or months.0
