Quick Sky Question.....

I rang sky to see if they could make my bill a few quid cheaper or i wanted the service removed as we are tightening our belts a little...

they offered to lower my tv package to £14 a month and the broadband to £7.50 a month...

2 months later im still having bills for the maximum amount and its a joke, I am ringing them tomorrow to tell them i want the tv turned off altogether now, my question is, my phone is hooked up into the box (i think) if i have the tv taken off will they take the box back? we dont have any aerial on the house and cannot afford at all to have one, the only way we get a signal is through the sky box....

:(

You own the box but, if you are within the first 12 month contract having received the box free or charge, they will probably charge you for it.

Bear in mind, Sky now requires 31 days' notice to cancel. Leave the card in the box if you do cancel - it 'regionalises' 101 and 103.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

You could also e-mail Sky's Chief EXec about your situation.

Many people have done this and they all seem to receive a substantial discount.

think the e-mail is something like

    jeremy.darroch@sky.com

    it's on the forum somewhere
