Ah well don't beat yourself up just get back on it and continue to be good from now!
you can do loads in the slow cooker... i had some pretty filling soup through the week.. halfed & roasted a butternut squash, garlic, peppers + cherry tom s+ an onion for 45 mins or so .. used 1tbsp olive oil to coat them thinly using a pastry brush. Then scooped out the BNS flesh and put with all the other veg into the slow cooker with 1 litre veg stock and a big squirt of tom puree.. left the cooker on overnight so when i got up next morning just whizzed it in the pot with the hand blender and took it to work. You can do chilli, spag bol, any kind of one-pot meat + veg meals.. just put all the ingredients in the slow cooker (with less water or liquid as you don't need as much) and cook for a few hours. xx
I've found this website which looks good (but you'd need to make some substitutions..) eg
http://www.slowcookerrecipes.org.uk/moroccan-chicken-vegetable-recipe.htm
this recipe - i would use chick breast instead of thighs and maybe put mushrooms instead of chick peas (garbanzos) and leave out the raisins.. then eveything in it's "free" apart from the chick.
Slow cooker works well if you have space in your freezer too as you can make loads and freeze the excess - then you have standby healthy stuff there for you and you can work out the cals/points/sins or whatever per portion once only and write it on the freezer bag or tub!

Also check these out.. you would need to check the calories but the packets are normally ok.. then just use lean meat and loads of veg to bulk it out

yes we have a canteen but it still means I can get disturbed during lunch which is why i hate having lunch at work, personally i really dislike eating if i cannot just eat and relax. so most days i dont eat till 6pm. i know this sounds crazy but since I was young I have never had any metabolism and if i do feel hungry i will eat.
when i eat i like to eat things i love, so sandwiches etc is a no no. hence the mashed potato with 2 heart attacks amount of butter. i just wouldnt eat it if it didnt taste how i wanted LOL!
maybe i should just surround myself with food i dont want to eat ! :rotfl:
i just think i should balance my calorie consumption from 6pm at night eating around 1400 calories to spreading it out during the day, even if just 100 calories at a time.IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER, THEN WHY ARE'NT YOU RICH?

May I join in on this thread too? I'm getting married in May 2013 and want to loose at least a stone. I'm currently 5"8 and have bloated back up to 17st2lb Around a size 18 - I was at one point grazing the top end of 19st but have managed to loose some, and was at one point down to 16st 9lb, but now seem to be stuck
I already have my wedding dress which fits but would look so much better if I could loose some weight and tone up my flabby arms!
I'm hoping to get a good start again now so that Christmas won't have so much of dent, but it seems it might be hard I've already received a chocolate orange, a box of chocolates and a belated birthday present of a kilo of fudge in the last two days!!!! I've put all of these away for Christmas, and will try not to touch them until then!
I've tried to cut out snacking, and if there is any it's usually fruit or something with a low calorie/fat content. Breakfast is porridge made with water and sweetener and occasionally a tablespoon of dried fruit or seeds, lunch is current a tin of soup (under or around 200 kcal) with a slice of home made bread, but I may well drop this, and dinner is usually pasta or rice based, nothing is majorly fatty/no red meat/always lean chicken or turkey or soya based.0 -
hello bayonetta + good luck with weight loss xx at least if you start now you will be in a better position come christmas xx.. could you wrap up your choc orange/ fudge etc for someone else's xmas present? bit cheekybut it's moneysaving and would help your diet at the same time!! xxCC1 £7,944.10

Hi all.
I'm joining in properly as I'm March 2013 and I've been trying to follow weightwatchers but it's just not working
I think it's maybe because I'm not THAT big to start with, but I'm 5'1 and a dress size 12 which to me is just bigger than I should be. My frame suits (and I used to be) an 8-10. So I've tried to follow the points but It's been 6 weeks and I've not lost anythingI'm also doing at least 2 exercise classes a week!
Any tips??Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

my problem too! i can tell you it took me nearly 9months to loose half a stone consistently! but it is worth it, i am now half a stone lighter than I was! even though BMI still tells me i am way overweight
anyway so i am now trying to do light excersize to tone me down to that secret dress size i was when i was 15! die thighs die! LOLIF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER, THEN WHY ARE'NT YOU RICH?
