Hey Rups, I'm here! :j Hope you're not getting ill, make sure you stay warm and rest!

Had a great weekend, lots of walking in the snow with my Dad, did 2 hours on Sunday! I'm sure it must burn more calories cause I was so sore on Monday!

All the walking meant I was under on calories for last week :T

Went a tiny bit over yesterday though. Don't think it'll make much difference, 1450 is still way less than the 2000 we're supposed to need everyday!

I did slimfast/ultra slim last year, I lost a stone and didn't really feel hungry but it's so boring! And when I stopped it the weight went straight back on :(
Its funny, slimfast is about 1200 cals per day, when I tried that for normal eating I was starving all the time, with 1400 I don't really feel hungry, even if I exercise. I'm happy to lose the weight slowly though, have got a while to the wedding and want to make sure it stays off.

Hope everyone's having a good day, hugs to all x

EEK, I'm gonna have to be careful of that when I come off it then.

    Rups, hope you're not ill!

I cycled to work today, last night the car wouldnt start and my FiL2B thinks its the starter, he wont be able to fit a new one till the weekend so its the bike for me for the rest of the week!

Hey stir_crazy, I read that you can use slimfast as a maintanence diet, doing 1 bar/shake/soup/whatever and 2 healthy meals.

Didn't try it myself, was so fed up of the bars by then! :rotfl:

Perhaps you could do that for a bit, sort of wean yourself off the bars/shakes?

i am falling into the trap of obsessively weighing myself! but wait til you hear this...this morning i woke up, jumped on the scales and they said i was 10 stone 2 lbs. then i had a coffee, went to the toilet and got ready for my shower, i jumped on again and it said i was 10 stone 4 lbs. once i had my shower, got dressed etc, i jumped on the scales again and it said i was 10 stone exactly! WHHHHHATTTTTT??????

i am going to take the 10 stone as my official current weight obviously.....

Thanks sk00bie and stir.. i think i might have something but not sure what as throats dry-ish and head weird-ish and that gland. hurts when i press it from the outside but nothing sore throaty inside. i am starting to become a hypercondriac now and assuming the worst. lol someone stop me thinking like a lunatic please?

I agree with the slimfast, i dropped the weight very quickly a few years for a friend's wedding and then put it back on . its rubbish to be honest and only short term. i think i got to try normaly and eat less, cut down big sizes of dinners etc and i can start that way. def better to lose weight slowly than quickly otherwise u end up with all sorts of body marks as well. ask me. i have loads of strecth marks and i hate them. :-(

oh stir how was cycling then? me and hubby were talking of getting bikes and also i asked him to get me a form for a license as i need to get driving and pass my test. we need a car so badly. at the mo, we have no food at home, as we havent been able to borrow MIL's car and go shopping and i wont do it online. :(

Lisa that made me chuckle. i used to do that too. wow if i was 10 stone, i would be soooo happy! i am 11. Weighed myself today. hehe. everytime i go to the bathroom i stand on it and seems like hubby does too as the metric thing on that is always swapped from Kg to stones lol.

    Morning everyone,

Hope you aren't too ill Rups. I know what it feels like when you have a cold; you feel rubbish even if you don't look that bad.

I had porridge for breakfast and have monday night's left overs for lunch again so thats alright.

I also walked this morning for the first time in ages. Felt better for it really just cold. I will stick with it. I don't find it hard to walk in the summer but during winter it is much harder because of the cold.

I only weigh myself once a week as I have to get the wii fit board out to do it. I can't be bothered to do it regularly! heehee.

I too would love to be 10 stone! That is my goal weight but still some way to go.

i would like to make it down to about 9 st 7 lb and try to maintain from there for my wedding in august.

it is not necessarily weight that is my concern...more my belly area that is my concern. i am exercising loads and enjoying it, but my big problem is diet and i think that really has a huge impact on my belly. so i am going to try and focus a bit more on food and more specifically the types of food i am eating.

had my coffee this morning with no sugar in it, which is a first for me! also trying to endure skimmed milk. hoping that will end up saving me several calories per week!
