Thanks ladies, I am starting to be anxious about it all now. Been sat wearing my shoes all morning to break them in a bit :rotfl:

I am quite confused about this app.... I went to the gym at lunch, and worked so hard the sweat was dripping off (sorry for those who are eating!) spent 25 mins doin high level cardio, an apparently only burnt 195 cals. However, according to the fitness pal app, 30 mins swimming breaststroke burns 325 ish. Or general swimming over 200 cals.... Something doesn't seem to add up to me!

Nice to have you back Rups! :D

That doesn't seem right. When I was doing BMF (so high cardio), 60 minutes = ~750 calories. So 25 minutes would be ~300 calories burnt for me. Couldn't calculate swimming with my heart rate monitor because the water kept pushing the sensor off me. WW thinks that 30 minutes of swimming = ~120 calories burnt.

Yeah, I thought the swimming seemed a bit high. I think I will have to take that into account when I log it. I think the WW one seems a bit more reasonable.... Shame!!!

Jo, you can change the calories burnt when you exercise, for some reason they have Curves as 158 or so, but its usually higher than that. So you can change it if you think its wrong.

I don't think these apps are completely accurate but they do give a good indication. It is good to exercise and eat healthily; it's not rocket science. The problem is sticking to it!

Still not decided on dinner haha. Best do soon and get started on it.

I think the cals burned depends on your weight and muscle mass. Saw on the scottish slimmers site the gym machines often add your resting cals burned usually around 60 an hour to the total. Very disappointing. A new slimming world class has started here, anyone tried it? Think i'll just stick to the boring eat less more excersize - cheaper!
