Hi ladies, new on this thread, sounds like some are having a rough time, so although a newbie here, fingers crossed for you x
On another note, how much are people finding when trying they're loosing a week? I think I'm loosing it too quickly, which isnt a bad thing! But if I want it to stay off it may be! After xmas I'd crept up to almost 12st! Used to being around 11.5 so went straight onto the 1200 cal diet which works for me usually. I've tried alot and Atkins doesnt maintain and I cant do without carbs! If I excercise I put muscle on really fast usually on my legs as used to do alot of dancing and teaching etc. So I am excercising like 3/4 times a week BUT this week from Tuesday to Thursday (didnt start Monday with it being bank hol!) had lost 4lb? Surely that's not right? Dont get me wrong, I'm really chuffed, just worried it'll either stop and I wont shift anything the weeks to the wedding, or that I wont maintain it and I'll put weight on and wont be able to fit my dress!

Hey jemb, I wouldnt worry about it if this is your first week, I think people usually do lose a lot on the first week because its water!0

Cool! I just though in like 2/3 days? Really?! And although I really could do with it continuing, I didnt want it to flood right back on again!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

Was just about to say the same... greast minds think alike :rotfl:
I have been doing Slimming World and on average have lost about 1.5lbs a week, but to have to admit I have not followed the diet properly since starting. Now panicking as get married on the 25th August, but have until about July to lose the weight. Would ideally like to lose 3-3.5 stone in this time. Not sure its possible, may need to follow the diet 100% :rotfl:0 -
It'll probably slow down to around 1-2lbs a week, which is perfect for keeping it off in the long term. Congratulations on your weight loss already though!0

Yeah I woulc just echo what others have said about the beginning of a diet. You should also consider that you don't really get an accurate picture weighing yourself more than once a week as your weight fluctuates regularly (up to 2lb a day) so you will get a clearer picture by tuesday.
Do you go to a group or are you doing it on your own? We weigh in on a thursday night/friday morning so you may like to join in with that for a bit of group support.
Rups I love shopping on oxford street and as we live in north london it is just a bus ride away from us so not far.
I got side tracked with the file I was working on so only just having my soup. Got carrot and cucumber sticks, grapes and apple and 2 jaffa cakes for afters0
