I haven't used them before - if my memory serves me right though if a link is blanked out with !!!!!!s that usually means MSE deems them to be spammy sites.
Sending you a PM:)0 -
So today was my first dress fitting - time to see if all the work has been worth it!
A little bit of background, when I ordered the dress I wasn't planning to lose any weight. Or rather, I just didn't think it would be possible. I've been trying to lose weight my whole life - so why would it work now! So I ordered a size bigger than was necessary, as I was right on the measurements for one size and I didn't want it to look tight. Anyway, measuring myself now I measure for 3 sizes smaller than I ordered, which I suppose means I have dropped two dress sizes.
So I was a bit worried it would be just too big. It was massive on me, but they quickly pinned down both sides, and I think it will adjust in ok. The dress looked a bit shapeless and uninspiring when it isn't fitted right, but I am hoping it will all come back together once the alterations are done. It's laceup so there is plenty of scope to tighten it up when it is altered.
But - one area that doesn't seem to have improved much is my back! It's a strapless dress, and can still see plenty of back fat. Can anyone give me advice on how to target that? I have done heaps of weights so my back is strong, but I think those nice muscles are well concealed below a layer of squishy fat. Any ideas?0 -
Sorry I don't have any advice.
Breakfast - branflakes and wheatbix.
Lunch - bbq style chicken & bag of salad with a drizzle of no fat vinaigrette dressing.
Tea - steak served with various roast veggies.
Snacks - yoghurt, scotch pancake, and a hotel chocolat truffle.
Exercise - small jog
Will let you all know if today's small jog is any better/easier than Wednesday's0 -
Weirdly, there was an email from Jillian Michaels about this the other day. You can't do spot fat reduction, so you just have to wait for your body to move onto burning the fat in that area. She suggested sidebends to get the blood flowing there though. Hth.
I feel rubbish today. Spent ages last night trekking round the shops looking for suitable shoes for my younger bridesmaids, didn't get to eat til late and today I'm tired, my legs hurt, I have a sore throat and I feel sickEu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Sorry to hear that you are feeling rough Code... trying to take it easy if you can.
I failed in my attempt to join Slimming World yesterday. It was step daughters birthday and she wanted to go out for a meal when I should have been at the meeting.Meal was nice though and I did go for a fairly healthy choice .. roast chicken (didn't eat the yummy skin), jacket pot and salad.

Definitely agree with Hadley, Code. Take it easy (as much as you can this close to your wedding).
Did you manage to find some shoes?0 -

Jo well done for going to the gym.. yay! :0) keep that going till ur passes run out. then what will u do?
we did some kungfu practise for our grading tomorrow. am quite nervous... so when i got home, i was achy from zumba and all the gym this week, so today i am resting, ready for tomorrow. gulp. scared!
kmmr, i asked the PT about back fat, and he said as well as cardio, do the back exercises there are. weight training will help when you pull that thing up and down and also across to you feel that stretch on the shoulders. The cobra move (yoga position) also helps. he has been doing this stuff with me as i am very consious of my back fat too.
