I have the same problem in terms of making calls here. (I also don't want to do any in work as one of my colleagues is extremely nosey and would be eavesdropping like mad).

I have been trying to call the jeweller making our wedding rings with no success... I want my engagement ring back which he has to shape my wedding band. Maybe OH will have called as I have been nagging him, but doubt it. :(

Oh ladies, its all gone horribly wrong. I'm currently sitting here with my leg elevated, stinking of deep freeze and wearing my knee support around my shin for compression because I have shin splints. To add insult to injury h2b was tickling me and I threw my back out. I can't exercise and as we all know, I'm kind of running to stay still here because of the prolactin and stress. I went shopping today and even that was enough to cause pain. If I keep going I risk a stress fracture.

Panicking. My dress isn't going to fit if I dont keep working out. What do I do? Couldn't my stupid leg have waited 20 days??

    Fml.

Code, calm down. I know it is easier said than done, but please don't panic! Regarding exercise and your shins surely you can still swim with that? Or try yoga / palates etc? But if your back is too bad, don't even try it. It is not worth putting yourself in agony for.
You really need to take some me time and chill. Tell your OH the ladies on the board say you are in need of pampering! A healthy meal with lots of veg and a bottle of low cal wine. All cooked for you while you watch a terrible girly film. After the luxurious bubble bath and bridal mag all laid out for you!
Have u tried a body wrap to loose a couple of cm? I brought a do it yourself one from boots, and lost 1-2 cm with it. Tbh tho I am sure on the day you will look fab!
I went shopping on sat, went to bluewater but after 2 hours I could barely walk. :(

Thanks Jo. I've just had a wee cry (you lot are going to think that's all I do). There isnt really a pool near enough to me to be able to get there without struggling, but its a good suggestion. Maybe I can suggest oh takes me. At the moment, getting off the couch is feeling a bit challenging.

Might try the body wraps. This is not funny. Going to have to seriously cut calories if i can't work out.

Oh Codemonkey, you need to rest. My sister had shin splints a few months ago and was in agony just trying to move about for day to day tasks, so I feel your pain :(

She's still not back to running, but she goes to her gym regularly and does a 45ish min work out on the cross trainer, 5 mins on the rowing machine, and then a selection of weights and a swim. None of those aggreviate her shin splints but it did take a little while of resting before she was ready for it.

In the meantime you need to try and rest your legs as much as you can. Boxing/ punches can be a good way to burn off the cals without using your lower body, and if you've got some handweights then you can still work your arms.

The timing is so frustrating but you need to focus on getting well again- don't want you to be hobbling down the aisle

    morning ladies...

code please stay calm and don't panic.. you can still do upper body stuff from the couch but don't attempt anything with your legs, as i know you prob are getting restless (like i do when i cant exercise due to injury). enjoy being pampered and rest.. your body needs it. what you can do now is eat well and that way you can still control your calories. do the air punches, if yu have weights, do arm stuff but be careful. we all sympathise with you, and with positive thinking (it works, trust me), keep saying that the dress WILL fit you and you will look amazing!!! stay rested code.. please dont be hard on yourself..

Donna well done on the loss. :) i was good yest that OH offeredme some custard and apple pie and i said NO!! wow.. i had a very filling dinner of brown rice with a fish cake and a slice of mackerel (which we had to eat each as they would have gone off), so was happy. at bed time, i got hungry but i just said to myself that i can eat today.. :0) i am so pleased i said no, and i didnt have crisps yest as i have some EVERY day!!! grrr

am sleepy. the weathers nasty and its making me feel bleeurgh. got my PT session today. eek!
