Selling back currency

I've got some euro notes left from my holiday (around €60) and want to change these back into pounds.

Where can people recommend that will give the best rate to sell back? Do all bureaux de change offer this service?

If you are likely to go abroad again to Europe then I would keep them, every time you buy or sell it costs.

I agree with aerostar, you'll get a very poor rate.

If you're not likely to go to Europe again, how about asking if any friends or workmates are going and if they'd be willing to buy them from you.

Good idea ... trade them with a friend at the current "middle rate" (e.g., http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business/market_data/currency/11/13/intraday.stm). Both you and your friend will benefit, compared to the deal that the shylocks at the bank will offer both of you.

If you posted your (general) location, you might find some reader lives nearby and will take them off you at the mid-market rate.

If it's less than £50 in cash I generally just keep it in a safe place with my passport then next time I go to travel I'm always pleasantly surprised to find some beer money that I had forgotten about.
