    afternoon everyone

what a fabulous day we have had here
I just want to say a big thank you for all the thoughts and prayers for Meggie. Her scan and other results came back negative and showing no spread or further tumours :j So she is just concentrating on fighting the one and has had chemo this week. Hopefully, she will be allowed home this coming week.

Continued thoughts and prayers will be much appreciated :A

froddy thats wonderful news - I will continue to keep her in my prayers to help her get through her chemo - I hope she gets home soon - her family must be very relieved

LameWolf (((hugs))) I am sure you will enjoy it once you get there - its a place you know and will probably know lots of people - get a big sunflower so you can brandish at anyone that comes close!
cat smith its glorious up here in Scotland:D although I am further east:D
Triker WTG:rotfl: and well done for doing so much
*toots nips in and picks up MOAM off the floor - well done to the 'boys':rotfl:
Greenbee have a good trip - hope its not too hot

I am not holding my breath or getting excited BUT hopefully I have a roofy guy coming tomorrow at 10am to give me a quote for the guttering/pointing/bay roof :D

I REALLY hope he turns up.. I want to get the room plastered ASAP and can't until we have guttering and pointing done..
pigpen ...just a thought if he arrives could you not just keep him until he does the job - hide his van keys attach all the children to the wheels -put squeak on the road in front of him- tie him on a long rope -once he gets up there to look take his ladders away- whatever it takes to get the job done?

I am sorting the boys stuff when I summon the energy and motivation to go in their stinking pit of a room.. It is so traumatic for DS3 I hate doing it but he will wear stuff that is way too small because he can't cope with new things![/QUOTE]
just another thought ...probably as useless... re DS3's clothes - when he gets something new and he finally decides he likes it could you go and get the exact same thing but in a bigger size so you could swap them as he grows out of it - when it goes in for washing it comes out bigger because you stretched it?????????? ok....I will go now

That would be really funny HRH flying with us :rotfl:
Dusty but surely it would be Him flying with us...he's the pilot? ok I am def going now...............

for those who didn't know or hadn't noticed I am home from my usual week of treatment. My SiL brought me home today rather than have to wait until tuesday because of the holiday. I have relaxed - read a whole book on my first day - have been in bed and asleep before midnight everynight - often in bed before 9 - didnt eat a whole load of junk food and generally chilled - just as well as there is a lot happening for the next couple of weeks so I need to get my head round it all.
Today I have totally unpacked - thats a first! and then I sat out in the garden - on and off - and read another book that I want to return - so I am catching up on my reading if nothing else.!

the house looks great so long as you dont go in the spare room where there is still boxes etc to be sorted but that will be ntackled - it all has to be done by the 10th june - thats my target.

right better go sign on with the other head and be ready for new thread.

piggers - any idea when it might be?

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

I think he might object.. plus I would struggle to shove him up the ladder!

We tried that... he just knows it is new! New stuff it take him about 6 months to decide he can wear it so it is too late to get new stuff the same. .. He'll just have to reach adult height quicker!

Now.. I've been waiting for you to pop by and say you were ready :p

loads of washing and ironing done!

DS has returned from fishing looking like a cooked lobster on 1 side - it's hilarious! Even he's laughing......

DD2 wants some photography help this evening - David Bailey I'm not - could be interesting.

Want to sneak out for a walk at some point....... I'm trying to cope with DD2's exam stress by going for regular walks instead of heading for the biscuit tin!

I had noticed that you weren't posting, but assumed you hadn't got your broadband sorted out properly.
Not good that you have to go in, but it did make you rest after the move.

Shredding all finished - Mr LW wound his business up over 7 years ago, so no need to keep all that carp now. I suspect the loft floor breathed a sigh of relief when it was all brought down to be disposed of!

Re the 60's do..... uuurrrggghhhhh I think Mr LW, in his profound wish to please everyone has forgotten that I simply don't do parties.

I shan't know a soul there (although that's possibly a bonus:eek:), - it's only the pub landlord that we really know, as we tend to sit in the corner and do the crossword when we're in there, and I don't care for large gatherings.

I wouldn't normally dream of it, but I'm almost hoping for a bad lupus day, just to get out of going.

We shall see..... if I omit to write it on the kitchen calendar, maybe, just maybe, Mr LW will forget all about it.;)

Next week could be interesting Flying-wise; once again I have to pack it all into 3 days. Obviously Mr LW's home tomorrow, as it's BH, but he's also working from home on Friday.

    Never a dull moment....:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Dusty I meant to say earlier if we are feeling anticlimatic after the royal wedding what about Kate Middleton (oops should be DOC instead now!) She has had flunkies attending to her every need for days, next week she will 'just' be an 'ordinary' housewife have to run the house whilst her husband goes to work! Perhaps we should recruit her on here :D

lol...I like that idea. And thanks for the IKEA tip. I think I might have bought voile from there years ago. Will nip in during the week and check it out.

I am sick of moaning about it!!! lol.. honestly it has been an absolute nightmare!

I emailed 6 people, 1 bounced and 1 repied so far.. though the others might not be working until Tuesday so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and nag tham on Thursday!

pigpen, is it worth checking out this link

Given the complaints I see at the CAB, I'd always recommend that you go for someone who is affiliated to a some sort of trade body.

We had a good day today - although not much flying done!

Got up & walked the dog early-ish. DH & kids didn't go swimming after all. Made a picnic & set off - about an hour or so later than planned. We had a lovely day at Audley End. The sun was shining, and it wasn't as windy there as it is here by the coast. We have all come back a bit pinker than when we left! they had a victorian may day thing going on there, and it was really good. It was also good to make use of our EH membership - would have cost £32.50 to get in otherwise!!

I am off to the new thread now :) see you there!
