What a crappy morning so far, took me ages to fall asleep last night. Hubby knocks on bedroom window at 8 to tell me to come out, he drove over DS1's bike and it was stuck under the car. Bike is now for skip there is just no way of repairing it and it's dented the sup or the thing that holds the oil in the car. Not sure if it will leak or not. :(

Hubby now away anyway to the BB shoot and i'm gonna have to tell DS1 he no longer has a bike but to be fair it's his own fault for leaving it at his backside. He's normally very good with putting his bike in the back garden so why he thought it was a good idea to leave it beside the car is beyond me. Plus hubby loaded the car up with his things and you would have thought he would have seen it. :(

Dusty your right this was his last chance, between him and the kids they have my head gone. I can't leave him as in the words of the CPN ''he'd be a dead man walking'' which i know is true, i'm really not bigging myself up but i'm like his sensible side to stop him getting in trouble. Without that i honestly don't know where he would be. At the minute it feels like he's just a lodger. He takes everything and gives nothing.

Toots your right to, what annoyed me the most was that we had already discussed the season ticket and we both decided it was too expensive. Then he just goes and changes his mind. He knows he has me in a corner anyway, he knows i won't tell his parents anything because it will break there heart and they don't deserve to be put through anymore. He knows i won't move out as i wouldn't put the kids through it plus i've worked too darn hard on the house. He won't move out because it's his parents house so he thinks they would take his side. They wouldn't want any of us to go anywhere unless they knew the turth and it would ruin them. So i don't know where to go from here, i don't have many choices. :(

Right i best go get everyone up and fed, need to get dressed and get more washing out.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
    :j :j
  • I'm back as well... and will join you for the HHC at 9:30 if that's OK....

Haven't cleaned for weeks, so really need to get back on track. The house is awful, and the clean-up job looks enormous, but I know that if I stick with you guys I can get it back under control pretty swiftly.

Starting now with some much-needed dailies...

    MissH

Vanilla, just wanted to say I'm thinking of you. You're having such a hard time of it with everything and it must be so hard living like this. I'm sure someone will be able to come along and say what I want to much more eloquently but didn't want to not respond to your post. Big hugs xxxx

Come on then Seafarers, I'm a bit late now but have watered the vegs (planted on Saturday and just starting to shoot very slightly - kids will be so thrilled!) and let the chooks out.

Cosmos and sweet peas planted... need to work out whether to plant the everlasting peas in with the sweet peas or with the roses & clematis...

I also want to see whether I can grow anything up the fence by the shed - this is technically the drive, so concreted, but is too narrow for modern cars, so is a kind of wide passage down the side of the house. I don't want too many pots there, but it would be good to have stuff growing up the fence. However, I'm not sure that the small gap between the concrete and the bottom of the fence will be good for much. There is concrete/tarmac underneath, but its about 2 inches lower than the drive and currently has a layer of gravel in it.

I really do need to get the lawn mower sorted out this week, as the garden is coming on nicely, but if I can't get the grass mown it will soon become a problem...

Suppose I should go back out and get some more stuff planted... and put some bark chip round the sweet peas in the hope that I can keep the slugs away from them...

I'm a newbie to flylady, hope you don't mind me joining you. My house definately needs lots of tidying/cleaning. As you suggest, I shall start at level 1 and hopefully get some level 2 items done.

    To today:[STRIKE]
    1. Declutter kitchen surfaces and wipe down [/STRIKE]
    2. Declutter bathroom surfaces and wipe down
    3. Old newspapers out for recycling
    4. Clear dining room table
    [STRIKE]5. Clean kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
    6. Hoover dining room floor

That's probably enough as I'm also working from home and DH will expect me to have done at least some of the work he's left me!
