    If you don't see the sample then you cant know what you're buying and therefore the figure quoted is meaningless.

    This old thread has just come up on Google hence the delay.

    You need to DYOR about the cavity width. You need still air in the cavity and there was research on this a few decades ago. If warm air on the inside glass rises then cold air from the outside glass comes against the inside glass reducing the insulation element. There is a width of the gap below which that air circulation does not occur so you automatically get better insulation. From memory (and you need to find the original research) both gaps quoted allow circulation.
