Can i ask please i have had 50 meg BB for 10 months now and this week end i am only getting 17-20 meg,
now i know since they released the 100meg they have been capping the 50meg but i dont download and i cant think of another reason for the slow internet access as its usually bang on 50meg
is there a possibility of there being a damaged line somewhere or anything silly like that? or is this me being a bit thick
and also if i ring them up and they send someone out will it be exspensive does anyone know?
thanks for looking

Hi,
Am getting 50mb full. There must be a problem with your settings or connection. Have rebooted the Virgin hub?Credit Card Debts: £11,605.95/£16,240.53 - 71% paid off.

Are you using wireless, if so thats your answer, use Ethernet. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Could you go to your control panel ... input your login details and then go to advance settings .. in here go to event log and if there are any errors with your connection this will let you know.Credit Card Debts: £11,605.95/£16,240.53 - 71% paid off.

Service calls are normally free UNLESS you are found to have caused the fault, but any good engineer will put it down as 'faulty F connector' or something like that. (I did, unless the customer got stroppy....)
It's possible that you have a loose or bad connection or,god forbid, you had the box moved & used non standard cabling for the extension.
Oh,and us engineer like Hob Nob's with our coffee....lol0 -
well if you turn up at my house bring your own coffee i only provide tea lol!0

Okay i am going to sound like a spoon here, but log in to my control panel...
where is that please? is it the start menu at the bottom or do you mean something ELSE0 -
Type the following into your web address: 192.168.0.1 then input your username and password (if you don't know it, the default username is admin and password is changeme).
Click on box wireless network settings
Scroll down until you find guest network and then click on advance settings
When you are in advance settings, on the left hand side you will find event log under the heading maintance.Click on event log and you will find any errors. Also check connection under the same heading. You can copy and paste the info in here and I will take a quick look and compare it to mine.

That forum is the best place to persue any problems too. Follow the instructions about posting stats and leave the post for the VM techs to pick up - it wall take 3-4 days - often quicker than getting anything sensible out of the VM offshore support people.0
