I alway feel better for starting the day with some quiet "reflection" time, makes a huge difference to my equilibrium during the day.
How wonderful to watch the ceremony - especially when you personally know the peep involved, but Ordination!! thats like "Graduation cubed" - never mind the Dean awarding you your degree, the Big Man is there instead.
LOL! Love it! Graduation cubed!!Will pass that on to my friend... I am sure it will be appreciated!

Have you made your Doc's appt yet m'dear? I reckon that is the hardest bit y'know. All to do with admitting it to people that can help you change or something..
When I was younger, I had hankerings after being a vicar.... funny how things turn out isn't it
Ho hum... come on hometime, I don't want to be here today xx0 -
Hometime's a long way away sadly tmif! (well, I'm working AT home today, so I suppose I am already home, even though I haven't started yet - but somehow that doesn't help) :rotfl:0

Ho hum... come on hometime, I don't want to be here today xxI loved watching a Seaside Parish (or something like that) it's the female vicar who was in Cornwall. I mean I would have happily done that job but without the praying and the believing in God thing
:rotfl: Mind you considering it's my dream to live by the sea I suspect that was a huge part of it :rotfl:
Done some thinking about the roots of my body image issues, whilst I was in the shower and brushing my teeth :rotfl:(it's the only time I get left in relative peace). Do you really think how you felt in your formative years (say from 9 to 14) can have THAT big an impact on yourself as a grown up? I am wondering whether my feelings about myself at that age have kinda set the blueprint for my self image or am I just talking a load of tosh??
TMIF - I wish I could speed up the day for you but then again aren't we supposed to appreciate the moment.....don't want to be wishing our life away do weI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all.. hi Bitsy, I absolutely think that they can - those are big years in growing up and learning about yourself and certain things can definitely stick with you (one of the reasons that school bullying is so destructive).
Crickett, hope it goes well at the doctors.
MG, interesting that you mentioned sorting out one area of your life and the rest following - I was thinking last night about this forum - how so many people have come on here because of debt and ended up changing a whole load of different parts of their lives in the process.
Hoping for a quiet Friday here - weekend of Farmers Market and clothes organisation ahead! And looking for a hotel/ apartment to go with the Eurostar tickets to Paris we booked last night (for September) :TDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Yes TMIF, the docs appointment is early on tuesday morning. Fingers crossed!
I had a hankering to be a nun. Poverty - used to it. Celibacy - okay... would deal with that one. Obedience - oh, HELL no!!! So, that was that. No convent for me. Dad was quite disappointed! :rotfl:Do you really think how you felt in your formative years (say from 9 to 14) can have THAT big an impact on yourself as a grown up? A resounding Yes to that Bitsy. Absolutely. Everyone has a child in their head, and if that inner child is saying nasty things about the body, it is easy to listen to them. And no, you are not talking a load of tosh. Big insight!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Pleased for you Crickett that you have a lovely new friend in the office and will have hopefully many good reflection times at work, and that the homeopath has given you advice. I'm on tablets for the 3rd time now and this time I have very few qualms about being able to acknowledge to myself and others that I have been ill, not just "low" or "down" but have a real illness and that in itself, has helped me with my recovery I believe.0

Afternoon all, I'm sick, again. If only Drs listened *sigh*
I'm torn between resting up because I'm feeling drained and using the day productively for some study? No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
