Pickle, my vision board is made up of pictures of how I want my life to be. It totally depends what you want from the vision board yourself. Marru is right about using the Your Perfect Day exercise as a starting point.
    So to do the exercise.
Write down how you would spend your perfect day, no barriers, nobody telling you what you should do just how you would love to spend your perfect day. From that you can then work out what kind of things you have in your life already and what you need to work towards to get to the point where you have your perfect day. So mine several years ago was
" wake early in the morning, no alarm clock, to the sound of birds and not much else. have my breakfast in the garden surrounded by birdsong and lovely flowers. Take the dogs for a long leisurely walk to the beach or in the countryside. Have lunch with friends and long lovely chats. In the afternoon write to my hearts content and then cook a lovely eveining meal. Then in the evenings, read or go to the theatre or cinema"
OK so on paper it looks like I just want a leisurely life but in reality I looked at this and saw what was important to me. My dogs, writing, being with and talking to people. Living in the countryside or by the sea and having a generally stress free life. At the time I lived in an industrial town, rarely spent time with friends, worked in an office with a very stressful job. I now live in the country and by the sea, I work from home so I wake without an alarm clock (early) I take Moo (unfortunately lost my other dog just before getting here) for very long walks in the forest every morning and to the beach several times per week. Whilst I am not writing the novel that I planned to write I do a lot of reports and research for work. My job also entails presenting to large audiences and meeting the public in events and country shows. I am actually as close to my perfect day as I could wish to be.

Oops - sorry turned into a long post.

Hope it has been cancelled Marru, sending good vibes your way.

Healing vibes to MG for the chiro appointment. I've got physio at 3:15pm where I have to tell her that her forecasts of an athletic future for me have been dashed by the consultant, and can we work on "everyday mobility" please :( Ho hum, hopefully she'll be impressed by all the work I've been doing, my poor leg doesn't know what's hit it in the past few days!!

Non-rubbish eating has gone out of the window over the past few days, culminating in an Indian takeaway with OH last night.......but today as been fruit and crackers and I feel more positive again :) I have a lovely notebook by my side where I'm going to record the calories/foods I eat and think about how much better my life will be with a new leg and a slender body, rather than the gruesome bits, lol.

I hope you did check Marru, my cynical mind wonders if he was trying to make himself look good by turning up for the court appearance and you being a no-show :(

I hope Marrus time is flowing quicker than ours is waiting to hear from her.

"Weekly shop" accomplished - albeit early and with additions because we are having some visitors. Will just have to be carefull or the rest of the month I guess - loking forward to them though.

Off to stash everything in the fridge

No it was me present and ex no show. :D

So what had happened was that he was a bit more on the ball about cafcas. He had contacted the court asking does he need to be there as the report hadn't been done. So this morning the court decided that nope nowt they can do without the report and postponed the hearing. Due to a bit of a admin c0ckup they couldn't find my phone number to let me know.

Anyway they did see me, we had a good chat about the present situation how it has been going since last hearing. (And I managed to slip into a conversation that when we still lived down south he couple of times came to sit in his car on my drive at 9-10pm). Also what I was able to gather it seems that ex is busy digging himself into a hole and I didn't even have to provide the spade :D. Next step - appoint the solicitor I spoke with on Friday and arrange meeting with cafcas. Next hearing is in the beginning of July but by then I will be more prepared than an army of scouts.

Would you believe - the security didn't let me take my cross stitch in. They were scared that I was going to attack somebody with my needle. When I left the court I went to the security to ask my lethal wepon back, which they duly did. Those who have done cross stitch know that them needles are so blunt that even than I have poked myself with it several times I have failed to draw blood.

    Thanks for the help, cherisong.

Firstly, I'm not sure what I want from the vision board: something to keep me focused on all the different plates I am juggling, I guess. Although this is only the half of it.

I've been planning on posting on The Other Side something to do with this (and lots more) for a while, but I haven't quite got round to doing it. Maybe I will nip over there now, if that's alright, as this could get complicated...See you over there?

"Men - can't live with 'em - can't bury them under the patio":D

If you don't mind Marru - what a Numpty. He must really think that the courts can't see through him. Trust me they can - and so much more.

So July it is - but we are still with you every step of the way - in purple and red and wielding our knitting pins.:rotfl:

Just made a sponge cake (to be layered up with strawberries and cream for dinner tonight) and i made it with 3 of Clooties Ladies eggs - boy do free range eggs make a yellow sponge :D Looks very yummy already............... and is begining to smell pretty darn good too.

Off to run the hoover around - in a half hearted manner naturally.
