I've got a contact with Orange and am planning to use the phone in Spain for a year. Does anyone have any ideas about how much will it cost?

Great Cheap Local Sim Card Hunt

I must confess that I've not actually tried this yet (I'm off to Spain later this year for a holiday) but I was looking for a local SIM for a smartphone and the deal from http://www.carrefour.es/telecom/movil/prepago.html seemed good to me.
The linked page works OK in Google translate if your Spanish is as poor as mine !
There may be better deals for the time period you are thinking of but this might be a good start.
Hope this helps.
Obviously you will have to get your phone unlocked or buy another unlocked phone. Making your contract shorter or reducing any bundled calls or texts (if it is possible to negotiate this) so that it isn't running while you are in Spain could be worthwhile as well.0 -

OP it will be much more cost effective to get a local sim card on PAYG, the deals are similar to here :cool:0 -
You can also get a pay and go Spanish sim card from lycamobile.com with very low rates.0
