when I were a lad one winter it snowed so hard I put my hand out the living room window
Window?
I used to dream of living somewhere that had windows.
(well, at least ones that didn't have steel bars on them)0 -
Forgot to say, if I use an air pump I add a few psi extra(usually 4 or so)to cover the air having heated up and increased the pressure from driving. Can always let some back out at home when its cooled down.0

Alway add a bit extra to cover the loss when you remove the air hose.0

As above, thats likely a maximum not car specific as tyres are generally not car specific. They won't last long driving around at 80 psi but at least it will make parking easy

I find most petrol stations give you a free voucher if you spend over £15 on petrol, they dont advertise it, but if you ask they will give you one.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0

The air pressure is analogue. It is put through a pressure sensor which produces an analogue voltage and get converted to the digital readout via an ADC. An analogue display is often infinitely variable, a digital one has discrete steps. There are advantages and disadvantages in both though so it is difficult to say one is better that the other.0
