One Stop Phone Shop Question about changing tariff
I did a OSPS cashback deal last year and I'm considering doing another now my contract is due to be up.
The best deal I've found on OSPS is a "free line rental for 10 months" one. I see that the terms now say you have to remain on the initial tariff for 6 months, but if I change the tariff at this point, will that reduce the amount of my rebate?
To put the question a different way, will I A) get cashback of 10 times the initial line rental price regardless of whether I change tariff after 6 months, or
get a rebate for the first 6 months at the initial price and then 4 months at the price of the tariff I change to?
The answer to this means the difference of the phone working out completely free or costing around £50 for the year.

Ask them the question. My reading of what they said in 2 pre-sale calls is that the cashback is unaffected by subsequent changes.
I'm at 4 months now, and I intend to ask in a couple of months just to make sure. And your deal may not be similar to mine ...0 -

Nokia 3300 on OVP Relax 100
Nokia 2650 on OVP Relax 100/200
Agree with Andy88 that cashback is not affected by changing contract after 6 months (11 with T-Mobile). This means you can even make some profit.
P.S. Do not forget to use Rpoints or Linemypocket!0 -
You should be able to lower the tarrif after 6 months. Did that last year on a CPW deal. Worth double checking with OSPS. Also confirm with the Line Supplier (Orange etc) when you contact them to downgrade that it will not affect your contract with OSPS.0

we all did that last year with the nokia 3510i after 4 months but the deal is now 6months, and it doesnt affect our cashback deal when we changed after 4 months.my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0

I did this 2. You must remain on same tarrif for 6 months. See the paperwork that comes with your mobile. Keep the paperwork safe. A plastic A4 pocket is all thats needed. Use a diary to keep note of dates to claim cash back and check with OSPS before sending each one.
Good Luck

PS Hi TerrierI am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
If you go for an OVP Rleax tariff, do you get tied to the other TMobile terms such as 18 months tie in? I seem to recall that OVP matches all the tariff terms etc. May be worth checking or someone can confirm (not buying at the moment as signed up in December on OVP Voda 200 through OSPS).
If you are looking for the Nokia's, go into the Hansets>Nokia listing as for some reason they are not listed with the Latest Deals or the FREE Line Rental.
