Not a load of bolloocks at all and not perpetuated by disgruntled drivers who resent paying anything to keep their cars on the road. The majority of people accept it as a running cost of a motor vehicle but just like home insurance object to constantly rising premiums when they have been claim free for x number of years (or even have never made a claim) and the insurance companies give the reason as rising number of claims be they genuine, exaggerated or false.

But in fairness, wouldn't you?
As stated above, just another claim or ten isn't the reason for the rise in premiums but it sells newspapers and allows the Ins Co's to pass the buck - back at the motorist, yet again."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -

I appreciate there are many reasons for rising premiums including investment fluctuations, however the number of claims is rising. This is true across the board for all types of insurances. I work public sector and know that claims againsts LA has risen dramatically. Again many reasons for rise in these claims, shouldn't discount the internet that does a fantastic job of informing people on their rights etc. Nothing wrong with that as many people missed out because they didn't know where to turn to, however it is mis-used by many people.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Hi guys, my girlfriend was hit from behind by a car that just drove off
it caused 3ks worth of damage and was in her mums car (named driver) as her car was in repair after being hit from behind in the snow (at about 10mph)
the driver never was identified despite getting most of the reg number the police went round the owners house and he said he'd sold it 2 week ago!!
she had 2 days off work, went to A&E on the night, had a MIB assesment that said it would take 8 weeks to recover and 6 months for the anxiety to go (shes a nightmare in the car now)
they have offered £1300 - £1600 which i dont thinks enough, she can reject the offer but with it being a government body will they improve the offer??
Thanks
Is this their first offer if so push for more and take their second offer, some people keep pushing if they no the system.0
