Hello,
I've been awake since before 8 on a day when I could actually sleep in! But never mind, it gave me a chance to catch up on emails while my OH is still snoring away :-)
Today we're having a NSD as my PayPal money never did come through, grrr!
Here's my list:
- tidy the house before hordes of the OH's family arrive midweek for a big family party next weekend
- yet more washing (plus all the sheets for the 2 spare beds)
- nice walk if it brightens up a bit
- already checked banking
- dinner at my mum's
- deliver bargain Easter eggs purchased by my lovely OH to the kids in the family (89p each!)
- relax and remember I am on holiday at some point
Have a lovely weekend all

Morning all, thanks for starting the thread DNMS x
Another beautiful day, we are being so spoilt with this lovely sunshine!

- wrap DDs Easter eggs ready for tomorrow
- pot on some seedlings
- plant some more seeds
- water garden later
- competitions
- tea from meal plan
- small shop at Mr T sticking to list & using voucher
- Elder DD making trifle later to take to my mums tomorrow for lunch
Hmm.... better get up & get in the shower!!!
Have a great day everyone xx0 -
Morning all, and thanks to DNMS for starting us off
Haven't made it here for a few days, and I'm not usually a visitor at the weekend, but I've lost track of my days with the kids being on hols, so here I am.
The last few days have not been an unqualified success with regard to lack of spending, but I comfort myself with the thought they it has still been SO MUCH BETTER than previous years. At least I have my eye on the ball, and that is something that hasn't happened before. And while we've spent more than we usually would in an average week, we have spent far far less than we usually do during school hols. I'm just working on finding a sense of balance, I think.
Stitchy, granola in the slow cooker sounds intriguing, and more MSE than oven baked - can I beg for your recipe?
Anyway, on with the list:- checked online banking
- laundry drying on line
- make soup for lunch
- dinner from stores/menu
- porridge for breakfast
- try to rescue house from encroaching chaos!
- chauffeur girls to and from local fair (which will mean I won't be drinking much today!)
Hope everyone has a fab Easter2011 wins: 2 day gym membership, film download, NETBOOK!Debt at LBM: [STRIKE][/STRIKE] [STRIKE]26/1/11 = £4733.26[/STRIKE] 11/6/11 = £3759.3840 -

Hiya, perni - you are lovely. You really do care about everyone :A want to share your troubles? x
I just don't understand it, they're both female, both spayed, & have lived together for months happily, then they had a barney resulting in a bitten ear - cue vet bill for £45, not great but manageable. So we separate them for a few days, slowly reintroduce them & again, they get along fine for a couple of months.
This time I wasn't there to see the fight, we came out to clumps of fur all over their run & the shed we keep their hutch in (gives them a lot of extra room when we're not around to let them out) & I find one of them with a nasty scratch down her eye, the lower eyelid doesn't actually meet anymore...so I have to take her to the vet, there's absolutely no way I can avoid it this time but as it's a bank holiday, the consultation alone is almost £100  Combined with an overnight stay, & this morning I got a call to say she will definitely need stitches to avoid further problems later on, we're looking at just under £300 now :eek::eek::eek::eek: I also now need to find a way to keep them separated but happy (ie not cooped up when we're at work all day). We have an indoor cage as well, but it's not ideal as they are used to more room then that...can't really afford anything else after this vet's bill though.
I'm beginning to think a cat would have been much cheaper now...anyway sorry that was longer then I intended, I don't want to give either up but I don't know how to keep them both separated but happy, & I don't want to risk this poor bunny getting bullied or even more seriously hurt a third time.
Anyway - :easter: everyone! Hope you will all be...:EasterBun
Silvermaid - How do you get your burgers to stick together without breadcrumbs? Does it work with egg alone?
Stitchy - May much business come your way, & especially lots of money to go in that shiney new bank account of yours!
La Escocesa - Have a fantastic time with your family.
Bexs - Hope the peace returns soon :rotfl:
Kev - Sometimes you just have to spend a little more, the trick is to not go wild! You're doing brilliantly, just think how you've entertained the kids on such a budget :T
Orange Fairy - Have a great hen do! You only get one so just make the most of it! Bet your friends will really appreciate the saving you're making on the meal.
Today I WILL be more positive, my luck has got to turn around soon!

Greetings, all, from Sunny Kampala!
DNMS I wrote a response to your lovely note yesterday though it may have been too late for you to catch it. Im feeling much better today - I exchanged emails with O and we are back on good terms now. In some ways, I think it would be better if we had a massive row and hated each other for a bitPity hes such a lovely bloke, if a bit dense sometimes!
Pernie Oh poor, poor bunnies! I actually remember reading that female bunnies are very territorial so shouldnt be kept together. Maybe one has just now come "into season" so is getting aggressive. Hope you find a way to keep them separate and happy - with lots of human-love and cuddles bunnies can be fine on their own. Glad things have blown over with OH.
Orange cant wait for the stories of debauchery!!
I've been pretty productive today:- got aquainted with boda transport - weee!
- bought an internet dongle (not cheap but needed)
- got a phone and worked out how to get the multiple sim cards thing to work - sent number around
- bought some food so I'll be set for tonight and tomorrow
- met neighbor -had her over for dinner last night which was very nice, yay new people
- kitten time!
- will work more as didnt get loads done yesterday
- sit in sun on the patio and read
I'll try to get in touch with people later to maybe go out to dinner. If not, more kitten time
Very happy easter to you all! I hope the great weather keeps up for you.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Afternoon all!
Nottoobadyet - hope everything is going well and you're settling in? I once moved to Canada for 2 years without knowing a soul there - its quite daunting at first but does get loads easier as you get to know people - I think its quite hard to get out and about on your own but its the way to meet people and make friends so I forced myself and it worked. I'm sure you'll love it! By the way, the initial reason I went was a breakup with the love of my life at the time and I had the opportunity to finish my PhD in the wilds (literally!) of Canada - sooo glad I went even though I was sad at first. Good luck!!
Today's little list...- Been to Mr T armed with a list and spent £32 of my £45 budget - happy with that!
- Hoovered car
- Taken book back to library and picked up a new one
- Walked dog
- Nagged OH into mowing back lawn
- Checked bank
- All food from stores
- Will put a wash on and put the dry stuff away
- Walk the dog again
- Done the Shred exercise DVD - am aching already!
- Going out tonight but think I'll drive to cut down on spending and help diet
- Stick to diet

Oh, look at you Dr Woofer! Thanks for the encouragement. I definitely need the reminder to go be social! I also want to know what you learned out there in the wilds.
This is actually the 3rd time I've moved to a country where I've never been beforeI actually feel a bit ahead of the game since I already have place to live sorted, a job and a university friend who is living here. More than I had when I moved to London from Israel or to Israel from America (when I was just 16!). Carpe Diem and all that, will probably be doing it again in 2 years or so...
I should say that though im being a miserable cow on here, i do love this place already and am so excited to get to know it better.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010
